RIP...still remember reading i Know Why the Caged Bird Sings and couldn't believe what she went through
Cryptic. https://mobile.twitter.com/dmorey/status/471655044686024704 And here is the poem he quotes: http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/still-i-rise/ I wonder if it has to do with trading Harden for Love.
Naaaah. Just a quote to honor Maya Angelou. Look, I have my doubts about Harden's commitment to the game. You could attribute his amorphous apathetic self to late nights at the Colorado club. Phenomenally talented but has no drive. I despise his lack of effort. Sure, I'd love to trade him to Cleveland or Philadelphia or Orlando and get a top 4 2014 lottery pick and cap space. But it ain't gowanns to happen.
Her last tweet was beautiful: "Listen to yourself and in that quietude you might hear the voice of God."
True, very GARMish (and cynical) of me. I'm hoping Morey didn't treat him with kid gloves about the commitment to the game, how it's time to grow up. Again, a phenomenal player. But he needs a boot in his culo to keep him on track. He sure didn't have that last year. Too much passivity on the team.
I would normally agree with this. But after this year's playoffs, I am really wondering whether McHale can have success in the playoffs as a coach. Patience makes sense when you have a good coach like Rick Carlisle. Or a team that seems to be mature and needs less coaching like the Heat's big three. But McHale, with Harden?
^^ Yeah, Man, what the F is "ISH" you've been talking about lately? Back to Ms. Angelou, I heard she was going to be honored in Houston this week coming up.
Meh sad when someone passes away.... but she lived to 86 years old... and was a pompous windbag that was a pop culture poet..... Somewhere Oprah is crying in her feed bag.
