Hey look - Kim answered Kam. I can log off now. But seriously... If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, I had an Orange Julius a couple of years ago at Dairy Queen. I went there just for that. There're several in Houston : https://www.orangejulius.com
I don't remember that, but the Oshman's court had a little opening in the back where they had a shorter (6-8ft?) rim for the liluns.
Any of remember Ron's Krispy Fried Chicken? They eventually sold their stores to Church's, I think. Here's what happened to them : http://www.ronsfoods.com/
One of the most horrific murders in Houston history took place at the Southwest Freeway location back when I was a kid. I knew one of the victims. http://www.texnews.com/texas97/execute102997.html
there was another place like that called Leaps and Bounds. I think Discovery Zone eventually bought them out. I went to Discovery Zone once for a birthday. It was pretty damn fun. I remember the best thing they had there was this zipline. It went about ten feet. It was awesome.
My dad took me there once. Didn't know about the murders at the time or else I'd would've been creeped out. I went to the one that was in a terrible location due to the highway. Was the murder at that one?
Auchan Hyper Market? Only went once. I think it's where the current Viet Hoa is at. The only thing I remember about that place is that it had some fast food places like Pizza Hut. And you had to put in a quarter to get a basket, and you get your quarterback when you returned it.
Maybe it's not called Orange Julius. But there was this place at Northwest Mall that had some plastic oranges in a glass display, and I think they sold hamburgers.
Yeah, the Hyper Market. I totally forgot about the quarters required for the carts. I was real young, but made my day when I found a quarter left in one empty cart this one time I went shopping with my parents.
Ha! I worked there briefly as a teen. Hooked up with a much older cashier...i rode my bicycle to her apartment, then banged her twice. Good times. Anyone remember wonderland or something like that on Kirby and Main?
I think those photos are from the I-10/610 location (and not the 59 location like it claims). That's the one that had Castle Golf and the batting cages.
