I'm hoping this is a message that he's sending to Donovan that he's not above the team, but that ultimately, he makes it onto the team.
Pretty much agree with some exceptions A: Brazil, Croatia B: Chile, Spain C: Ivory Coast, Colombia D: Italy, Uruguay E: France, Switzerland F: Argentina, Nigeria G: Germany, Portugal H: Belgium, S Korea
There's no chance that happens. The backlash to that would be worse than just leaving Donovan off the team. Whoever the guy is that he cuts (after thinking he made the final roster) for Donovan would be a bad precedent to set.
Yeah, it might. But why wish an injury on a player? LD at this point in time isn't one of the 4 forwards. The guys ahead are clearly better to start and/or come off the bench without feeling the need to pamper the guy and put him ahead of the team. LD has an ego and if its not met.. he pouts. Last thing you want during the WORLD CUP.. is someone who will complain... IF and IF he is brought in on the team. The guy will not start. Can he accept that? Probably not before the cut. But now... he might.. but he still doesn't deserve it and you have to trust Klinnsman.
#Dempsey pulled for hamstring pull (just for caution pulled him out)... Wondo with a golden chance to perform good.
It is not about Wondo, they took DAVIS ahead of Landon - while I like the left foot, he is not even close to Lando even at this time. DD
Here's what I posted on Facebook right after the groups were announced... many injuries since then but feeling lazy to revise so i'm sticking to it. Anyhow, are y'all guys interested in creating a bracket or something!?
Huh? Where do you get that from? Part of Donovan's problem was that he was only being considered at forward.
Brad Davis looks pretty good. US needs somebody who can whip in a decent cross. Johansson couldn't miss that.
