Change your fandom of that team? I was hooping yesterday and I ran into a guy who wore a Astros hat. I asked how he felt about the present team , he said he quit following the Tean due to Crane's donations to the Democratic Party . He clearly stated it was off field issues rather than product on the field.

So he still presumably purchased and still wears the hat?

My answer is no. I assume Drayton was a republican but I don't know because I don't care. I don't understand why some people can't separate those things. It just makes a person look stupid and petty. What if the players are the other party? You can't support them?

I only disassociate myself with people who are so incredibly dumb.

I think it might matter if they're very outspoken about their political ideology and/or they're an extremist. I remember that a bunch of people were very opposed to Rush Limbaugh being part of an ownership group bidding to buy the St. Louis Rams and he was dropped from the group because of it.

If they're just a run of the mill Republican or Democrat who doesn't use their position as team owner to push their views, I don't care.

I won't just the same as I don't like a politician because of their religious views.

If it isn't a direct factor in being the best at what they are doing, why should it matter.

Does he research his grocery store? Clothing shops? Restaurants? Fast Food? Auto? TV Shows? Music Purchases? Internet Provider? Cell Phone Provider? etc? to see if their owners/CEOs contribute to the Democratic Party as well?

If the Astros made the playoffs; he would be at minute maid sporting that hat. It's funny how sports can bring ppl together.
