    Hello,

I am looking for a good place around Houston that does a good job installing window tint. I am also interested in getting a perspective on what is the best film type as there are several to choose from.

I recently had my windows tinted and so far I am unhappy with the quality. I am curious where you get your tint installed. My biggest concern is that tint will bubble up and turn purple.

For tint and or clear protection/bra I use these guys.... Not cheap when you want the good stuff but they do have lifetime warranty and the work is outstanding. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my tint....

What brand tint do they use? Doesn't say on the website.

Just got mine done there. They use blackmax tint. They are super aggressive and will not let you get the cheap tint.

I will probably choose a different tint shop next time

I didn't want to reveal where I went until i got enough feedback. I actually went to Xmhouston (Executive Tint FM 1960 location) I am aware of their lifetime warranty. They used a brand called blackmax....The quality doesn't look good. There are signs of water drops either on the tint or inside the tint (on the actual glass). Does it look better after a week?

Never been to that one but yes it is suppose to look better after a week.. They always recommend you don't roll down windows for at least 3 days after work has been done.... Bubbles will appear on tint but will go away.... If you paid for the good stuff just take it back and let them know you are not satisfied. Give it a week and see how you like it then..... I've always had good experiences with them but who knows.... Quality/service may be going down. Last time I went was in November to cover up the whole front of my car with a clear bra...... They did fine.... Looks good...

What type of film did you get? I opted for the metal film. Paid 175

huper optik is great tint. How much did you pay. I got a quote of 600 for that film.

I wouldn't trust the xmhouston tint. They don't have the only plotter in Houston like they claim on their site.

I had my truck tinted over ten years ago with SunTek carbon tint. Truck has been in sun everyday since and not a single bubble or fade in tint. Unreal. It was pricey, but came with lifetime warranty I was sure I would have to use. Nope. Gave truck to my son last year. Tint is still perfect. SunTek Carbon.
