Whole lot of difference between the two .... Harden is happy in Houston , Love has been frustrated in Minny since before he signed his current contract.

One wants out and will leave for nothing if not traded, the other isn't going anywhere.

I would trade Asik for McDermott (he's around 8th pick in mocks), sure I would need to add picks, cash or some other player or two

Seems legit to trade Asik+2nd rounder for McDermott and Parsons+Motiejunas(or TJones)+future picks for Love (since Love is leaving I don't think other teams will offer any better for rebuilding team)

I am not sure, if he is the guy to go after or not.

Would the Cavs, Bucks, or 76's trade their (top 3) pick this year, a soild player or two plus their 2016 unprotected pick for Howard?

(resign Asik for 3 more years and never look back)

If Exum or Smart drops to Boston #6 then Parsons, Dmo & 25 for the 6th pick (that would give them 25 & 17 if the really wanted a player to move back into the later part of the lottery).

Lin for a bag of chips ( 2nd rounder )

line up has Harden plus one or more future All-Stars PLUS the 2016 pick PLUS cap space

Exum or Smart, Harden, Wiggins, Jones, & Asik
Exum or Smart, Harden, Parker, Jones, & Asik
Exum or Smart, Harden, ?Covington? , Embiid, & Asik

plus the bench would be soild the player or two from the trade, Bev, Daniels

Before we use any of the cap room we would have to round out the TEAM..

no way we trade Howard after he chose to come here in free agency. People need to stop with the Harden/Howard trades they are not going anywhere!

Not a terrible idea, but Lowry will not sign for 8.75 mil/year. I'd think at least 10-12 mil.

How about trade Howard to Cavs for Embiid, sign LeBron outright. Never look back.

This is crazy and risky, but hey, might as well share it because the prospect of it was kind of fun to me haha.

Houston in: Ty Lawson, Danilo Gallinari
Denver in: Omer Asik, Chandler Parsons, Jeremy Lin, 2014 1st Round Pick

Yeah probably. He's debatable top 10, or borderline, but yeah I was just thinking of any guys that aren't 100% untouchable for fun. Seems like most of the rest are, other than Rondo.

Honestly my ideal summer would have us picking up Millsap for some sort of Asik trade. Signing Jodie Meeks and maybe Deng or Ariza after salary dumping Lin to Philly for Wroten (or somewhere else that would work). Then drafting someone like Tyler Ennis if he's still there at #24 to train behind/with Beverley (or maybe trade up if it wouldn't be too costly)

Did I miss the part where there is a risk

Upgrade at SF and PG for a pick (26-30 range), and save millions in the process (which we could use to buy pick 31)

    What chances of pursuing Afflalo?

Not sure what we have that is appealing to Orlando, I assume they wouldn't be interested in Asik due to having Vucevic? (although perhaps they could find 30 minutes for Asik to protect the rim to develop their rookies?)

I assume Orlando would want to move Afflalo on with the influx of youth coming their way. Perhaps we could snag him and Jameer Nelson? Would they take Lin/Asik ++ for Nelson/Afflalo?

It is still a more realistic scenario then a lot of these post.

afflalo and harkless would be good...if jameer is expiring, why not...familiarity with DH and can give vet stability..

I can't believe people on here would trade Harden. I wish I could slap every single one of you.

Seriously, Harden is the one reason this team is not complete garbage right now and everyone is trying to trade him.

I'd love Gasol on the Rockets. I'm surprised he hasn't been mentioned as a more realistic option.
