    “There’s only one place that Thibodeau would really push to go elsewhere, and that’s to go back to the New York Knicks,” Bucher said. “That, I’m told by one source, is actually his dream job, to go back and get the Knicks back on the map.     Why would anyone want to go to the Knicks? They have been a barely relevant franchise for a very long time

    For some reason it feels like Thibs knew the Bulls couldn't land Melo so he decides to go to New York and join Melo.

    One of the only ways a team with Melo as the best player on it can seriously contend is by adding a defensive oriented coach Thibodeau. One of the only ways an old school, defensive oriented guy like Thibodeau can contend is by having an elite scorer on the floor.

    Those two would be a good match.

    But Thibodeau getting free coaching reign and being content during the Phil Jackson regime? I don't think so...

    They've been a non-factor for the vast majority of the last 4 decades, there is no turning the Knicks around, they are the NBA version of the Cubs.

    no matter how bad the knicks are, players/coaches, will always want to go there. If they succeed, then the media and glory will go with it because it's NY.

    Thibs isn't the type of coach PJ is looking to hire. Quite the opposite.

    It could only happen if Dolan shoved Thibs down PJ's throat.
