Doubt that even 10,000 of us contributing would have enough to purchase the Clippers. With so many investors, how would any decisions ever be made?

Depending on the details of the arrangement, I am in for $10,000 maybe more. If ClutchFans bought the Clippers we could all make a lot of money. How many members do we have and how much would each have to chip in?Probably a lot more than ten thousand each.

Can we start a Kick Starter campaign to buy the Clippers?

if 50,000 of us contributed $10,000 each it would still only be half a billion dollars. That team will sell for $1billion minimum.

It was a nice dream

I'll put up $3K. That's the best I can do right now. Sorry guys.

But wouldn't it be the world's biggest troll job ever for a rival fan base to buy a team? It would be legendary.

Not a problem. Everyone contributes 20,000 instead of 10,000.

I think we should do it. It's not everyday that you get a chance to be the owner of an NBA team. Plus, as an owner we would all get tickets to all the games, right?

Lol I guess that would work.

First bit of business would be trading Blake Griffin and Chris Paul for Lin and Tjones/Dmo.

And then have it struck down by Adam Silver for "basketball reasons"

What exactly would we do with them? First obvious step is trading Chris Paul to the Rockets for Lin; but after that, what do we do?

How we tell league we wanna buy plus they would probably laught at us. 10,000 people whose incomes are 60k-125k. So basically 10,000 of us owning one team we would probably be worst than sterling bc theres no true leader. Were all gonna have different opinions on uniforms free agents and coachs

If there was a "real" possibility of the ClutchFans actually buying the Clippers surely there would some who would want a bigger share and might put in 100,000 or 500,000. If all could be assured that the funds would be held in trust pending the consummation of the deal and returned if the deal didn't go through, there is no telling how much money we could raise. It sounds like a fantasy, but Les Alexander doesn't really own the Rockets. There is no telling how many investors he actually represents. It is complicated, but the lawyers on the board might volunteer their services if they can be part of the investment group.
