This was a great interview. I don't know if I should be shocked it came from 610 or if 790 is just that awful of asking questions.

The guy is either delusional or just saving face for Mchale because he knows Mchale's just his puppet. When I heard "We're pleased with coach Mchale's progress" I turned the radio off in disgust. That's good ol fashioned PR work from Morey. It's clear the main goal of this organization is not winning a championship now. I feel sorry for Dwight

This is true, that trio would be much more balanced. However, you need a solid FO to reel in the egos and steady the ship. Even with Spoelstra, Miami has Pat Riley. I think you'll agree that Mchale is not the man for the job.

McHale has his faults, he isn't the best coach in the league but he also isn't the worst. If McHale helps attract Love to Houston, he is helping the team more than any coach could.

That is why we need to bring in an assistant coach with the ability to get egos in check. Sampson apparently was that guy and he is gone. Lawrence Frank, Doug Collins or even PJ Carlesimo might be guys who could help with that. Collins has a history with James so he could be an option. Cyberx mentioned Bruce Bowen as an option, he would make sense as well.

    1. Great players like to play with great players.

    2. The acquisition of Love will make it so much easier on Dwight. He'll probably lose a couple touches a game. But his efficiency on the touches he gets will go through the roof.

    You know nothing.

    Morey is McHale's puppet.

And Dwight feels sorry for you.

So, Rubio could play Pec and pop with his two 5s?

Maybe they have their own reasons for keeping McHale that they'd like to keep to themselves, and Morey just gives the PR explanation on the radio.

I trust Morey knows what he's doing.

Morey does whatever McHale and Dwight want him to do.

That's a great point. I wonder if Love might not have bigger impact on Harden's touches than Howards.

I still think Morey has a plan at PG. He could go with Rondo, and that may make some sense, but with Beverley, Canaan, and Llull all in house, I think the better option is to see how they develop and make the big investment at PF.

I would doubt that they kept two. I think we could flip Asik for other pieces and send them the extras or the Wolves could send off Pek to another team but for financial reasons we would need to send one of Asik or Lin in this scenario, and I believe that Asik has much more value.

Love would set up on the opposite wing to Harden pushing Parsons back to the corner.

Not even remotely surprised this is your response. The man himself tells us the exact opposite of what you claim his flawed grand plan is and you brush it off in favor of how you see things off your trusty eye test.

Your blind faith and belief in Lin never ceases to amaze me. kinda sorta commendable.
