In before the same idiots claim he only got it because he's a minority. Also in before not being a U.S. citizen and america is selling out to a foreign country.
If you don't think being a minority won't be a factor in Yao's favor, you have no clue. Same would apply to Magic Johnson who's already laid a public marker.
this is a huge mistake, Staples Center will be used as a staging area for an invasion force that would actually make for an awesome movie
First the Nets, now the Clippers... We need to be careful here, communists are trying to take over America through the NBA.
holy crap, this script writes itself Putin and the Chi Coms begin filling the Barclays/Staples Center with trained soldiers, masquerading as employees.
So does this mean Yao's group has a leg up on the Magic group? Man, Sterling is hilarious. I'll give him that.

the clippers are actually up for sale - the Rockets are not. Plus LA is the second biggest market in the US and one of the biggest in the world - its home to a huge asian market as well. I think having Yao be a figurehead/face for that group (much like how Magic is for the Guggenheim group and the Dodgers) would be huge for the NBA really and its goal of truly being a global game. We have an African-American owner in Jordan, a Russian owner in Prokorov, an Indian owner in Randive - having an asian owner would help that cause too. Having it also be a former player will help for marketing reasons. Those investors too - like Pro probably wont care as much for the cap and will do what it takes to win. I dont know how true this is but it would be great to have Yao be a part of the NBA again in some sort of way.
