Plan A is LeBron James.. if he's considering leaving Miami, Houston is the place for him to go. He would want to go where ever there are two established stars. We can clear the cap room to go after him. I'm really hoping Indy wins that series..
I think plan a is to acquire whichever star you can first. You talk to LeBron bosh melo and gauge thirty interest. Call Minnesota see where they stand on a potential trade. And you slowly repeat until you get close to one, and take whichever one you can land. If you strike out on all that, you move on to a couple quality players like lowry/millsap
one more cyberx I heard on the radio today that Lebron has a lot of interest in Houston if he becomes a free agent. Is there any truth to this?
Will be very interesting to see what happens to the Heat if they don't win it all this year. I can't see any of them riding the ship down. Lots of potential options this summer. LeBron - player option Bosh - player option Wade - player option Melo - UFA Rondo - final contract year Love - final contract year Aldridge - final contract year Nowitzki - UFA If you're Morey, you have to like your chances at getting one of them. Personally, I think it's going to be Rondo for Asik, Beverley and picks.
It sounds like that the rockets will not get Love, so Gooden or Ariza is fine for me. At least we are not going to lose Persons in this plan A.
I've been saying it this entire season. Lebron is chasing rings. If he's a smart man, he would seriously consider houston as a possible destination.
hey cyberx good sir, have you heard anything about rondo? seems kinda logical considering all the mchale/rockets/BDA ties...?!
Houston totally makes sense for LeBron. The Rockets have two established stars. That is what LeBron James wants if he leaves Miami.. Houston is also similar to Miami in the aspect of night life. You sign and trade Omer/Chandler/Jeremy and picks for LeBron? Who else is going to offer that nice of a deal? Knicks can't. Lakers can't. Bulls could but they'd have to gut their roster. I doubt LBJ leaves Miami, but if he does, you'd better believe H-Town would be on his list of preferred destinations. PS can somebody create an off season thread? Cyberx could post his news in there and it would be easier to talk about the free agency period as a whole..
Lots of small forward names being bandied about. Some are 6th-man material, some are starters. Ah, Chandler. How much money do you think you'll get? Luol Deng. Not a dude who'll want to come off the bench; perhaps more of a "get" if Parsons finds himself on another team. Evan Turner (no, God, no). Paul Pierce. (I think he'll look at his hometown teams, despite the Sterling imbroglio. Trevor Ariza. (I don't think he'll leave Washington.)
