Do you really think that is a real option or just things being said on this board. Does that rumor have any weight to it?

Golden State will not give up Thompson.

If Rockets get Kevin Love, Rockets will win championship. Love and Howard rebounding will outscore every team every night.

They would have if Thompson wasn't going to be a RFA next offseason. Minnesota's going to have to pay him big money next year. From a rebuilding team's perspective, that's not a good thing. In addition David Lee's $15mil salary ensures that Minnesota will stay cap strapped for the next 2 years.

Minnesota's asking for mostly picks and rightfully so. Of the trade proposed, the Wolves are most certainly taking the Celtics offer.

Three-way trade... Between Minnesota, Boston and Houston.

    WE get Kevin Love
    Minnesota gets Boston's draft picks (6th, 17th) + J.Lin + O.Asik
    Boston gets C.Parsons + T.Jones + couple of 1sts from Houston (2015 draft pick + 2017 draft pick)... :p

    We STILL get K.Love! :D

I think Boston would prefer their picks over players Houston have. Teams just prefer draft pick in general, even mid-to-late 1sts despite their incredibly high bust rate.

    I prefer my trade

    Trade:

Harden and our first for Rondo and Bostons 1st

Trade Bostons 1st, and our future 1st (maybe 2nd rder or euro player), Asik, and Jones for Love

    Rondo
    Daniels
    Parsons
    Love
    Howard

...worst case scenario is you have to include parsons for love.

Then just trade Lin in SNT for a SF....or force Minnesota to give up Brewer or Budinger in the deal

Watching people throw out Harden trades is comical.

Bro, considering we haven't won sh#t I can't agree with you. It's been over 20 years. We've gotten past the 1st round, what, twice? And we inspired more doubt by underachieving in the playoffs this year. Yeah I think we're on the right track, but the notion that Love should pick Houston if winning is his top priority is laughable homerism. Just my opinion.

I like that but I'm confused by your last statement of SNT. I think Lin has a negative value with his contract and would cost an asset to unload. Not sure who would do a SNT on a SF for 8mm for Lin. But I could see getting the best wing man in the FA market you can get to fill the hole.

Everyone understands that the Rockets' track record as of late sucks. But conversely, everyone should also understand that: Love + Howard + Harden = Winning. I doubt that Lebron considered the Heat's recent history before he signed there to start winning.

The Kings might do it if Isaiah Thomas leaves this summer, won't happen though

I agree with you to some point but of all the teams being thrown out there that might be interested in Love (Lakers, Celtics, Warriors, Bulls, Knicks) we are in a better position to win now than they are. Just my $0.02.

Well I meant for Salary purposes...we need his salary to get a deng or someone...we would just have to give them like a lot of draft picks or euro players to make it happen...but after rondo trade with asik...he is the only way we would be able to add another good player. Sorry didnt clarify

you get a notable poster to feed the frenzy and this is what the result is. Sheeple are stupid.

Someone needs to make a poll: "Would you stop following the Rockets if they traded Harden?"

As the result of a poll indicates, the vast majority of people here, roughly 75%, would not trade Harden even if needed to land Love.

But that leaves 25% of those responded to the poll, 100+ in total, who would do so. A number of these 100+ of us have posted our reasoning and explained the circumstances under which we'd do it or not do it. Three of the writers for ESPN/Truehoop discussed the idea on their video chat and explained why they think the deal would make sense.

For certain members of the 75% majority who would not trade Harden for Love to call the 25% who disagree with them, especially those of us who considered the pros and cons explained our reasoning in posts, names like "idiots" or "stupid" or "sheep" for "even considering the notion" of trading Harden reveals certain things about the mentality of these members of the 75% majority themselves.

For one thing, it's not an very interesting or useful way to conduct a discussion in a discussion forum. Moreover, true "sheep" behavior would be to hold a popular opinion and refusing to even consider the possibility that the minority who disagree could be right or even have legitimate reasons to disagree.

This "notable poster" would like to think that this notable poster had the ability to "feed the frenzy"-- if roughly 25% of us is considered a frenzy in light of the 75% who believe otherwise, but this notable poster has doubts that he has that kind of power. People watch games, look at various stats, read stuff from a number of sources and have their own thoughts about stuff. One poster's opinion, no matter how notable, is unlikely to cause much of a frenzy considering the amount of other information and opinions out there.
