Has any 2nd generation NBA player ever really chosen a team based on whether his dad once play for them? Kevin's dad did play for the Lakers, but he didn't play much for the Laker before they waived him: http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/lovest01.html We are not exactly talking about Magic Johnson's kid here. Ultimately, the decision is in Minnesota's hands until Love actually gets to choose in Summer 2015 so Love's opinion is of limited relevance at this point. If a team not even remotely on Love's list of preferences (say, Milwaukee) offers Minnesota the best package out of all teams, Minnesota will likely take it. Love can threaten to not re-sign in 2015 and that has an effect on a team's risk analysis, but it's still ultimately for the teams to decide whether to take a chance.
We don't need Kevin Love. F* Kevin Love. We don't need another ball stopper. Role players that do their Job Properly.
Cyber said we'd know more after the draft. Well, I wonder why Cyber is being quiet... gathering intel?
draft lottery.. I don't think he meant he would have more info after the lotto just that there would be a better idea of who had the better trade offer.
For every person who mentions their skepticism, 20 enthusiastically thank him and declare him legit. So I doubt he would stop posting here just because of that.
Cyberx, after the lottery has been announced, is there a new front runner for Love? I figure he wants Chicago or LA. Minnesota won't take the 7th pick for Love (would have to occur after the draft anyways). Minnesota may take Gibson, Dunleavy, picks for Love. I personally think Boston will trade for him. But for Houston's sake, I hope Love goes to Chicago thus paving the way for Carmelo to H-Town!
Thoughts on Parsons to SAC for the #8? Then Asik to ATL for the #15? The #8, #15, and T Jones could be enough for Love or Rondo...SAC is looking for a vet, Parsons is likely the ceiling of what they'll get for that pick IMO. ATL needs a center more than anything and Asik is by far better than any draft prospect at that pick.
This actually isn't bad. I don't think it'll be enough for Love but like the way you're thinking. Don't like it for Rondo simply because I'm not sure how healthy he is and we're trading our only two assets. What do you guys think is more valuable, parsons or the 8th pick? I feel like Boston would prefer parsons.
Boston won't trade Rondo now. Now that Love is on the block, they want to acquire him in hopes of keeping Rondo.. Since Love doesn't have the best opinion of Houston, Rondo is pretty much off the block, I do think we should focus in on clearing cap room for Carmelo.
Everything will fall like a domino.(Last year Iguodala--> Howard decision etc) Chicago will try to clear cap space(boozer amnesty etc) or will be waiting for Love to become available ?
I think you greatly underestimate his fan base, there's only been a few who have publicly questioned the intel, yet when he mentioned going in stealth mode and doing a private listing the garm erupted with eager members wanting to subscribe. I wish Doc Rocket would post some of his cryptic stuff, THAT was highly entertaining! Trying to figure out what the heck he was talking about nearly drove me insane at times!... ....... ....... .......
Yep. When he said he wasn't going to post any information here because of the "haters" and then quickly followed that up with like 2 or 3 posts of "insider information" and then said he might go subscription only to avoid haters, the outpouring of sympathy and support was impressive. Well played.
