Oh yeah I just saw it was announced for the Vita. Hoping for Cross-buy too because this game is really tailor made for Vita. I imagine you would use the back track pad to control Igniculus, and also yes thats a cool feature for the console version that a second player can control it as well. Makes me wonder if they will port of Transistor to the Vita eventually if it does well. With cross-buy of course
That'd be awesome, though I feel like I'll have definitely beaten it by the time they decide they want to do that haha. (Then again, I could get majorly distracted by Watch_Dogs and Mario Kart 8 in a few days...)
whats the word on that watch dogs game? comes out in a few days...it look like its gonna be worth a purchase?
I saw a video of the retail PS4 version and it looked better than the fake review pix that were up a week ago. Found out that site was showing off a old build and doing it to generate clicks. Game looks good, but I'll hold off and wait for the reviews. The embargo on it is the same day the game is released, which isn't very promising imo.
The review embargo isn't up until the day it is released. In other words; people will be playing before legitimate reviews are out. This could mean something, and it could mean nothing. It wouldn't be the first time they held back reviews until the release date (and the games turned out fine), but it also could be because they're trying to do damage control. I will say this though, every time Ubisoft has delayed a game recently it has been good when it was finally released. (See: South Park and Rayman Legends) Of course those games weren't nearly as ambitious or in development nearly as long (almost 6 years for watch dogs), we'll see in a few days.
Don't hold your breath. They might re-release Portal1/2 as a package or even 2 by itself, but I don't see a new one coming out any time soon.
The presentation is amazing. And I love the battles are difficult and require strategy. You just can't mash away. I see why Sony was all up on Indies' nutz for this generation. Worth the $20 no question
Hey guys I'm not really into these types of games at all (the world of warcraft computer games type gameplay), but the reviews make it so tempting to try it out... I usually only play normal games like AC4, GTA 5, Halo etc. Would you guys still recommend this game to me? Is it good enough interest some like me? Or would it be best to just pass on it
It's very action oriented. It's hard to say, I don't want to steer you wrong. Yeah I really enjoy the combat. I keep forgetting that it will just do all the actions before they move. I love watching it. The music is great. I have the sword's voice set to come only through my controller. The light blinks while he talks also, it's surprisingly immersive. Anyone who says games can't be art definitely isn't paying attention to games like this and Child of Light. It's absolutely beautiful. At the risk of being cliche; it's zen.
I tell you, I stick with games that look interesting to me. That being said, when I keep hearing a lot about a certain game I have to check it out. So far, I really like it. I can't tell you if you'll like it or not, but a great gaming experience is a great gaming experience. Plus it's only $20.
I didn't mention this sooner since I wasn't optimistic about the Kickstarter succeeding, but Harmonix is wanting to work on a new Amplitude game (for PS3/PS4): https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/harmonix/amplitude It actually looks like they'll meet their goal (and then some). Not sure if anyone posted about this before...I thought so, but can't find it...maybe in the other thread. I bought Transistor earlier in the week, but haven't had the time to check it out yet.
I didn't post about Amplitude, but I was hoping it would get funded. I love Harmonix, and I've never played the game so I'm interested. I didn't put any money into the Kickstarter though...KS is not to be trusted, haha. You're going to love Transistor. A co-worker is forcing me to try Warframe again since I forced him to get a PS4, if you're around I'll shoot you an invite.
That'd be cool. Portal is the best puzzle/action game of all time. They should make an Omnibus version that has all the level in a single game.
