My question is this: Is Harden eager to learn? The real elite players often are. Lebron, Durant, Tim Duncan, even Howard... They develop new skills, address their weaknesses, improve conditioning and physique, adapt after the team falls short. Will Harden do this or is he just gonna more or less roll with what's brought him success already? Some really good players have done this, too. Baron Davis, Deron Williams, Tracy McGrady, Chris Webber, Shaq. Sometimes guys can have success, even win titles like Shaq did, with the later approach, but these guys are lowering their own odd-- and the odds for anyone leading a team to a title is already slim.
I'd be fine with that. It's an effort in futility anyway as I don't think the Rockets are going to have a chance to get Love.
I am speaking for myself, and myself only! I'm replying to your post, because you come across as being civil, and level headed. I totally agree with your comment in regards to taking everything that is being shared with a grain of salt! Whatever you read might or might not come true, for various reasons. The problem lies, in my opinion when we read something and you take it as being factual, that doesn't mean that whoever is sharing the information is flat out lying, it just means that we're not getting the facts. Right now the majority of the posters have a negative view of KLove based on what he "allegedly" said. Maybe it's like another poster said, that KLOVE is playing mind games with Morey and the Rockets or maybe he did say those comments and meant it! IDK! As far as not posting, or participating in a thread, because I don't believe/disagree what is being said, well I don't agree with that! I do think that some posters get carried away (on both sides) and start throwing insults at one another (including at Cyberx), THAT, in my opinion, is what needs to stop! Like I've stated before, "I don't want Cyberx to stop posting", he creates a large amount of dialogue every time he posts, I like that! I wish DocRocket would come back and entertain us with his cryptic posts as well! Having said all that, I will take your advice and keep my personal beliefs regarding rumored trades to myself! I don't want to be branded as a Hater by my fellow CF's brethren! (P.S) Cyberx you have every right to post here, and the majority want you to post here, so I think you should keep doing what your doing inside the GARM! Going in private mode doesn't benefit the entire CF's community! ....... ....... .......
Firstly, no one could know except Harden himself. But here are my guesses: 1) Harden wants to win a championship. To this end, he must be looking at what went wrong this year. His conclusions will say a lot. If he deems his own performance contributed to the early exit, he may have incentive to change and/or work on his his game. 2) Harden is young. He does time on his side for now. Thus time to adjust and perhaps see things more clearly. 3) Blessing in disguise. The criticism directed as him personally cant escape his notice completely. If we had pulled off a 1st round victory and went on to lose in the second round, there would be less of it. 4) He chose his current situation. He is not only locked into this team for some time to come, but also chose to come here. He has little choice other than to make the best of it. It might be different if he was traded here against his will and only had a year left on his contract. He might then just blame circumstances and put his efforts into contriving his next destination.
Cyberx is the man. The way it all works blows my mind. Like - who does Morey consider on his level in the FO - enough so that he can talk openly about how to 'fix' Harden? Then do they talk to James or James' agent about what to do better?
Each of factors also applied to other guys, too. Take Tracy McGrady: said he wanted to win a title, was only 25 arriving in Houston, chose to come to Houston, got ****ted on badly for first round exits in both Orlando and Houston. And McGrady even chose Houston for the purpose of winning, not just more money. McGrady left a crappy Orlando team to partner up with Yao. Harden left a stacked OKC team for one filled with unproven guys. We'll see what happens. What Harden comes back as next season will tell us a lot about what is in his heart.
You need to put that in your signature. I think people get upset @ you because you post some stuff that is obviously in the early stages of internal discussion. Stuff that with further review by upper management or the owner would never happen. It's on you to use your judgment and not post the stuff that was just spitballin.
Can this stick to being about Rockets pursuing Love and not about getting on cyberx's nonexistent mailing list?
As always cyberx, thanks for posting and keeping us in the loop. Its amazing that someone so clued in would do all this for the fans, never seen anything like it.
Of course, always fascinating to see the inner workings- that's why almost all current movies have The Making Of on their DVD releases and we have YouTube videos of _____ group making their latest album. We are not only interested in the end product, we are interested in the process. And we welcome insight into the process. But for those that criticize the messenger of that process, well, my response is that it's not necessary to know the process. If it bothers them, or they question your validity, then it's on them to put you on ignore. No need for them to call you out- waste of time. Things will happen whether they believe it or not.
What kind of solution would you suggest? We have brought in Hakeem for the big guys. Should we bring in someone for our guards? (Clyde? Doesn't seem to condone respect when you see what he says on TV..).
me three cyberx....me three...too many idiots that roam this board. If your stuff pans out...that brings validation to your initial claims. But if it doesnt, things didnt work out. Insider info has kept this board active and gets our minds revving up for the possibilities. Yet as much as we debate things on this board in a trivial sense, professional sports teams and their management spend countless hours and resources analyzing combinations, permutations, and statistics to put their teams in the best position to win.
Sigh. Typical failure morey approach. Let's put all our eggs in one basket and let everybody know. This organization isn't that smart. People skills go along way
I'm also in favor of moving the cybrex list rsvp'ing to another thread. Not that I really expect any "news" in this thread, but the twitter updates, news updates and the like are an interesting read. I'm sure cybrex is legit... or not... whatever I just looking for KLove updates. If cybrex posts some that are relevant to the Rockets and KLove, great. Direct message him if you want on his list.
