Tbh, I can't believe is use to smoke as much as a do. When I was a freshman and sophomore and junior in college, I was smoking like a gram a day. Usually of high grade stuff. Senior year I have been smoking a lot less, taking two week and three week breaks. I felt like I was going to die off of half a joint (king size doe). Paranoid as hell, but it was almost like getting high for the first time. Taking t-breaks more often now.

I self-medicated with mar1juana for about 4 years. I still miss getting really baked and playing Donkey Kong Country on a Saturday evening. Everything runs it's course.

My body is a temple that must be detoxified entirely. I have quit weed, cigs, booze, refined sugars, dairy, legumes, artificial sweeteners, and gluten.

How can you tell someone is a vegan?

    They'll tell you

Oh god I'm no self-righteous vegan. My wife has had a lot of health issues that could be related to a gluten allergy, I myself have struggled with addiction and anxiety, and it could all be tied in to the dependence on ****ty, processed foods and refined sugars that will eventually make me sick and zap my energy. I have a long way to go. I still need to lose about 40 pounds and achieve Zen enlightenment.

I eat a lot of animal protein every day, it is vital for my sustenance. It provides essential protein and fat. All I really eat it is eggs, meat, veggies, raw cashews, fruits, and a lot of coconut byproduct.

My journey is about self improvement and setting a better example for my children, I do not need validation from outside sources to pump up my self esteem like most people who make their lives about diet and fitness.

Judgment is for those who hated their former selves and cannot tolerate the perceived flaws in others.

Your life is your own. I wish I could still sit on a couch, take some bong rips, pound a 5th of Jack and eat a whole large pizza, but those days are numbered.

Well i'm sorry to hear about your friend, hope she'll be better soon. But like I said, it's a person's choice to want to move on to other drugs, weed doesn't make you want to try other drugs, you yourself does. But that's just my 2cents. Again sorry about your friend.

im guessing that has more to do with your cousin and what type of person they are than them starting off with "a little weed".

ive been a daily smoker for over 20 years and im one of the most successful people in my circle of friends. some of the biggest slackers i know dont smoke at all and some of the most successful people i know do...weed has nothing to do with it...its just an excuse for people who are already lazy/unmotivated.

I bet your cousin had cigarettes or alcohol before the weed. Started with those two things. Some people just get addicted to stuff because they have that personality. I started cigarettes and drinking in high school. Junior year of hs, I tried my first illegal drug in cocaine and hated it. Said I would never try a drug trust to try it. Continued smoking cigs and drinking. Smoked about three or four times over my last two years in hs. Start of my junior year in college, I stopped smoking cigs and only rarely drink now, but I kept smoking weed. Researched lsd and do that maybe once a month or once every two months. Its all in the person and everyone is different. There are people who cant go a day without their caffeine in the morning, for example. I th8nk it is real naive to blame a little weed for your cousin spiraling out of control.

Pot makes me lazy long after the rip. I've always been lazy so this doesn't help.

    Short term, it's great.

She probably married young and had expectations not of her own foisted upon her. Escapism and drug addiction are dangerous cousins if the mind and body align.

I hope she recovers and finds what she really wants.
