Les Alexander loves his white pretty boy star in Parsons, but there is only one greater than him, and that is Kevin Love.
Hence a complicated multi-team trade. There was an ESPN Rumor where someone stated the Rockets would be the best fit for KLove (now I have to go find it): http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/nba/rumors/ Rockets best spot for Kevin Love? By Nick Borges | ESPN.com Kevin Love is planning to become a free agent in 2015, according to reports over the weekend, and that is not a surprise. Now the Minnesota Timberwolves need to decide if they are willing to play out next season with the power forward on the team, or move him in the offseason to maximize the assets they can get back in a trade. Wolves owner Glen Taylor maintained on Sunday that he is not in a rush to trade Love. "Not by the (June 26) draft,” Taylor told the Star Tribune. Wolves' president of basketball operations Flip Saunders said on Sunday that he has not spoken to Love's agent in about a month, despite reports that he was informed last week that no extension will be signed by the the All-Star power forward with the view of joining the 2015 free agent market. According to ESPN.com's Marc Stein and Ramona Shelburne, Love is desperate to play for a contender after never participating in an NBA postseason. The teams reportedly hot for Love are the Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets. Love essentially has the ability veto all trades since he will be a free agent after 2014-15 and he could leave for nothing. Any team dealing for Love will want to be assured he'll re-sign, but that can not be put in writing. The Lakers gambled they could re-sign Dwight Howard after they acquired the center in a multi-team trade and it backfired. So, what is the best team for Love and one willing to gamble? ESPN.com's David Thorpe writes: "If you are wondering who is the single best 'partner' for Kevin Love, the answer is easy. Dwight Howard. ... Love prefers the perimeter. Plus he is a very good half court passer. D12 at his best in 4 around 1 sets with all 4 shooting 3's." Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has always been one to go for top talent, even with risks, and he will likely try to entice Saunders to make a deal. Any deal involving Love will likely be a multi-team trade and Morey's outgoing assets might include a combination of Omer Asik, Terrence Jones, Chandler Parsons and future first round picks. Love has a very good relation with head coach Kevin McHale and that could also help to facilitate a trade. --- --- --- I super-sized "combination of" because you just know that people will glance past the last paragraph and say, "No way we give up Omer AND Tjones AND Chandler AND future first round picks...."
I dont want to say much. I am going to stay quiet. Anything I say will be used against me and I will get backlash and be called a fake etc. Rather just see it play out and whatever happens happens.
That's fair, I think it's absurd that people lash out on you for sharing information with us. Obviously not everything comes to fruition, but so many posters fail to understand that everything about these negotiations and rumors is fluid.
Unappreciative Imbecel's ruin everything for those that appreciate things like this…thats clutchfans for you
Hadn't thought about that. Decent idea, but that would shove us into the apron and tie us up in a long term underperforming contract. That might be a trade I make 2 to 3 years from now (to make up for Dwight's declining production), but not today. Too much risk. How about Lin and Daniels for Kosta Koufos? They get the extra scoring punch they need....we get the backup center we would need. All of the contracts involved expire next year, so no long term tie up by anyone. Also, Enes Kanter seems like a very Morey-like move. Young, semi-underperforming player that we tried to trade up for and is signed through next year.
I just would like to know what you’ve heard? Morey doesn’t even know if things will for sure happen no one does, so many trades never go all they way through. So please ignore people who complain and dont understand that, I appreciate all your info. My question is like the rondo/parson package trade at deadline, do you have a feeling or heard that morey will trade parsons if it came down to getting love or would parsons having to be involved make morey pull back from doing the trade ? Who would morey want more? Melo in free agency or trade for love with parsons ? Anything with asik/lin contract dumpings in works for melo ?
thats better than what i expected, atleast their is a realistic chance of something big dropping to your knowledge. thanks cyberx
Houston Gets Love Thaddeus Young Minnesota Gets TJones Parsons Houston's Future 1st Houston's Future 2nd Philly Gets Asik Lin Houston's Future 2nd
Yeah, I like Koufos very much so, especially for the money. Quality big. $3 million salary. He's on what I call a super-value deal. Memphis wouldn't touch Lin and they'd have to add more salary just to make the deal work anyways. Don't see any way Memphis will turn loose of Koufos as long as he's on that cheap deal.
That is a steal for Philly. Super lopsided trade. I would see it being: Houston Gets Love Thaddeus Young Minnesota Gets TJones Parsons Asik Houston's Future 1st Houston's Future 2nd Philly Gets Lin Houston's Future 2nd
Sucks that so many idiots on this board ruin a good thing... Clutch himself endorsed CyberX as legit.
