I think this is pretty much a close deal, like with Dwight. Houston is the best place for Love, the only question is, do we give up Parsons in that deal.
I can't disagree with that assessment. We just don't know what kind of value Flip might have for Dwill. Maybe that deal won't fly with Minny, but it is the TYPE of deal I feel the Rockets will be exploring in trying to get Love AND keep Parsons.
Kind of like when the Rockets got Charles Barkley AND Kevin Willis to fortify the 4/5 spot off the bench.
Im not sure anymore that humphries can be traded, he's expiring and will be a FA this offseason, but is he still tradeable or not? Can someone explain to me when a player becomes a FA? Is it immediately when the season end or maybe after the draft?
If you have chance to get LOVE you give them PArsons Right away. dont even think about it.. They can take his buddy Lin as well.. OR whoever is on the roster not named Harden/Dwight.. imagine Love/Harden/Howard + other good back ups that want a championship
Really if the guy doesn't have Houston on his short list then he isn't serious about winning. I honestly don't think NY, GS, or CHI are better spots for him than Houston would be.
Yeah but they updated it just a little while ago. I'm not saying Houston isn't on his short list or isn't going to work their asses off to get him. I just think it's weird that we didn't even merit a mention on ESPN's featured article about the whole situation. Not even a name drop.

Sanders is very expensive. The reason I suggested him is because the Bucks are essentially upside down on him right now. I would think he may be gettable in a salary dump of Lin. However I actually like your idea of Varajao better. But I don't think the Cavs would give him up so easy. But the general principle is what is important. The trade of Love could possibly be morphed into something bigger. Another reason why I suggested Sanders is because I'm pretty sure Flip is gonna want to dump KMart as well. Perhaps we could flip KMart to Milwaukee for either Sanders OR ....dare I say....Ilyasova. Now you've got a big 3 of Dwight/Love/Ilyasova. All you need is a big 7-foot behemoth backup that can give you 10 minutes or so in emergencies behind Dwight. And that would be a championship big man rotation. Find a way to fold Brendan Haywood's contract into that deal and go to training camp.
A Three Star team with a 24 year old and a 25 year old is awesome. Because we can compete for the championship while Dwight is still in his prime for 3 years or so and then once Dwight's role is reduced or leaves the team, we still have Love and Harden as cornerstones still in their 20's and can still build from there. I think we have to get Love, the more I think about it.
There are a lot of trades that work per the Trade Machine but few that make sense for Minnesota if they were to deal Love to Houston. They have 3 PGs and they have a starting center who makes a lot of money in Pekovic. That kind of negates the value of a Lin/Asik based trade for Love.
