    Love -> Carmelo -> Rondo ----------------> DWill

Now, if you were absolutely certain that you could get Rondo as well, I'd trade Harden for Love or Melo in a flash.

Harden + Rondo = no bueno
    Love + Rondo = $$$$
Melo + Rondo = $$$ (not quite as good, but still really good)

Don't understand your logic here. I think Rondo + Harden would be the best option out of the ones you listed. Takes some pressure off Harden to create everything offensively.

Rondo - ball dominant PG, no range (3 point). His strengths are geared around ball handling and dishing. Terrible spot up shooter. And a really bad FT shooter as well (we have enough of those already thank you).

Rondo is at his best when he's handling the ball. In terms of offensive fit it's terrible.

And "taking pressure off Harden" is completely theoretical. Harden has never played effectively off the ball on the Rockets. He didn't play that way in OKC (He was effectively the PG when he set foot on the floor with RW playing off the ball).

Asking Harden to suddenly change his play style and assuming it's going to work is wishful thinking. Harden is a ball dominant, dribble/pnr guard. He never moves off the ball. He drives to the basket, kicks to outside shooters, plays off the PnR, occasionally takes spot up shots and does dribble ISO's on the perimeter.

Rondo on the floor is 1 less shooter and 1 more bad FT shooter on the perimeter. And Harden without the ball is 1 more player that's actually moving on the floor to create movement and space.

I think they're a bad fit, and been saying so since last year.

Isnt Paul Pierce and Harden the same player? Whhy wouldnt Harden be able to do what Paul Pierce was able to do with Rondo

Say WHAT? No, no, and just No. Paul Pierce plays NOTHING like Harden.

Paul Pierce plays defense. He's also a pick and pop/spot up shooter with superior length and loads of experience. Pierce does drive to the basket sometimes, but nothing like the way Harden drives to the basket. Pierce plays off the ball. He moves off the ball. He cuts and he sets screens.

Once again, no, no and just No.

The 9 people that voted Deron Williams need to be checked for head injuries.

But i'm sure the Rockets will go after Kevin Love. Kevin Mchale loves that guy and they both had a history together in Minnesota.

Totally agree. The only thing that would change my mind is if Melo approached the team and offered to pay spot up stretch four for way less money.

Rajon and Love aren't ideal pieces.

Our target needs to be the liked of Lowry and Millsap

Melo with his skillset fits the team ideally if he took the backseat to Harden.

Melo is first on my list (even though it's hard to root for the guy because of his Paul Pierce style of basketball)

But he would ultimately add a third guy to this team that can't be guarded 1 on 1 with Howard and Harden. Its hard to double team 3 guys with 5 players

Rondo. And it's not even close.

    1. He's a champion
    2. Improves the backcourt defense
    3. Unselfish
    4. Plays with a lot of emotion

Only thing I would add is that the team will need a more consistent outside shooter.

Maybe if his contract goes way way down. I'd pay him Lin money (8.3) to play here.

Love, Get scoring at PF. That's a major fit here. Remember how much times TJ miss 3's and how open they leave him out there? That will give our other players more to do.

Very surprised at the difference between Love and Rondo. Rondo is a proven lock down defender and can actually make plays, unlike Bev. Love would absolutely spread the floor, but we have enough scoring and Howard has the rebounding down. His defense is too suspect for me.

That's not at all to say I wouldn't love Love.
