I voted NO on trading Harden for Love because it doesn't amke sense at all. However I would rather do this. Asik Love Parsons Harden Bev What say you?
No. Howard is the hero that we need. Besides, trading Howard would be screwing a superstar who chose your team as a free agent. You don't want that kind of reputation. Minnesota would also be wary about taking Howard. Howard can opt out in just 2 more years and will almost certainly begin to complain and forcing his way out immediately after arriving in Minnesota. Taking Howard would likely mean trading Love drama for Howard drama.
The entire point of getting Kevin Love is forming a big 3...This is known This has been said by Daryl Morey himself..........
yeah lets trade howard after begging to get him here for a one year rental of love. Am I the only one who is happy none of us have any say so in the rockets front office?
What the hell would be the point of that? Love would spread the floor so Asik can go one on one in the post? No thanks
Yep, that is the bottom line. If it doesn't work out, Harden will probably be the one who will be traded.
morey would not do it, but for people going crazy actiung like this is a dumb question, understand basketball please... if rockets had brought in love as their starting PF last summer this team wouldve been better and made it out the first round. I will even go as far as saying with LOVE 2012-2103 we wouldve beat OKC when westbrook got hurt. Love fills a spot we really needed, howard was a upgrdae when he was brought in but was not an NEED.
Did we forget how much of a beast Howard was in the playoffs? If not for the incompetence of everyone around him, we would have won the series 4-1. Howard is the one untouchable on this team, more so than Harden.
Would you trade Howard for Love? I would do a-ny-thing for Love.... I would do a-ny-thing fooooor Love.... I would do a-ny-thing for Love.... But I won't do that. ---Meat Loaf
and with LOVE added to our 2012-2013 roster the TEAM would have been better. this is not abput who the better player is.
And this is not about our 2012 roster. At this point in time, you dont trade a Howard for Love...even if you want to try to go back in time and have the roster you had two years ago. There is no telling what Love would have added to that team. The guy cant even make the playoffs...he's not someone that has ever shown he can carry a team. He's a stat monster on a below .500 team. And this current team just had it's star player choke hard, our asian sensation suck, and our coach get outcoached...and that's why we didnt advance. If everyone played their role like they had all year, Howard would have led this team to a possible conference finals.
Short-term yes. I agree with this. Love was a better fit than Howard because of Asik. But that is playing checkers rather than Chess. Howard let's you still be open to Love, Aldridge, Anthony down the road. Who would you have gotten down the road if you had Love now and no Howard? Asik on a long term deal, thereby lowering your long term ceiling.
