It's not just Love, it's Flip Saunders as well

This is stupid. We need a point guard more. If we get Lowry then we don't need love.

Asik is certainly a championship Center. Put him on San Antonio, Oklahoma City, and Indiana and it certainly helps their chances.

They can't have both. Love has too agree to an extension as well if I'm Morey and give up Parsons, Asik, Jones and a pick.

Is it a big gamble though?

Suppose the Rockets do just spend their MLE(imagine adding an average player at position of your choice), sign their picks, and go from there. What's their upside? Ignore Spurs for a moment. OKC is still definitely better. Clippers are likely definitively better. Any team Lebron goes to will be definitively better. Our ceiling is what, 2nd round? MAYBE conference finals if we're lucky?

If that's the alternative, what is there to gamble? It's not like Love/Harden/Howard/MLE signing isn't getting us a 1st round exit anyway. And at least if some of our scrubs hit, like perhaps Daniels, Canaan, we'd be championship caliber.

If it's done via trade, we still get to keep our MLE ($5m) but have no room exception ($2.6m), we'd probably need to fill most of it with a backup center, but at least our holes wouldn't be in the starting lineup and we can have one of Harden or Love on the court at all times.

I don't think Minnesota does this deal without Parsons included.

No, I really do not think so.

It would be interesting to deal Harden for Love and then move Asik and Lin for Anthony...

    Howard/Love/Anthony/Thabo/Beverley

Obviously I'm down to acquire Love, but we MUST get a defensive assistant coach because adding Love to our current defensive scheme will only make it even worse.

And why anyone would want to trade a top 10 player in Harden who's only 24 is beyond me, lol.

That team would be insane, 3 bona-fide superstars.

More so than trying to win the sweepstakes we need to make sure Boston does NOT win. Can't lose out on Rondo AND Love...

Ainge is a smart one. He put together that Boston big 3 in one offseason by adding KG and Allen. Wouldn't be surprised if that was his angle again this offseason. I could see him go after Love and then go after Melo or even Asik.

That's what Lowry and Millsap aka plan C are for...

    Plan A being Love
Plan B being Melo or Rondo

IMO he is a championship level center, while he won't get you buckets or guard power forwards? He will rebound like a monster, defend bigs well, clogg the lane, protect the rim and always be in the correct position.

BTW, he guarded Aldridge very well, LMA was just in Dirk mode. If you re-watch the series, you'l see Asik ALWAYS had a hand in LMA's face and was forcing him to take a bunch of tough mid range shots. Asik also did a good job on PF's during the season. I think your just salty about how LMA killing us in the series, i don't blame you i am too, but don't take away from Asik because of it.

Wow! I've had a busy day and just saw the Cat's column on the Front Page (great read!). Kevin Love is only the dude damn near everyone here has dreamed about the Rockets acquiring, and Woj ain't chopped liver when it comes to this sort of thing. Most exciting tidbit? It behoves the T-Wolves to move him sooner, rather than later, if they want to lock in rights to Chandler Parsons, assuming he was part of a deal. Yes, I'd move Chandler in a Love deal, as much as I love the guy (no pun intended), because you have to give in order to get in this league. Parsons would be a terrific pickup for Minnie, and we have a boatload of picks to toss in there, as well as Omir Asik, and perhaps some other young talent.

This would be the kind of move that would put us over the top. Fingers are crossed!

Why do you think Lowry would want to play for McHale again? For PG I would prefer Bledsoe but first if we have an opportunity to acquire another star like Love which actually addresses a weakness, we need to do it.

We need a PG more than a PF? That's certainly up for argument.

See my sig, learn the game & how offenses flow, rockets were the only playoff team this year without a pick & pop PF . if we had one, didn't even have to be a star, just someone to make LMA play defense & clear the lane up for our star HARDEN we would've won that series. Even ppatt would worked

We can get rondo in here but if he doesn't have a big PF setting picks for him, same situation will happen.
