Parsons might entice Minnesota along with all those picks, and maybe Asik thrown in there as well.

We overrate Parsons. He got outplayed by Batum almost the entire series. He's due for a big payday and if it weren't for our bone-dry depth at the 3 spot we would have been able to move him in the past. Passing on Kawhi Leonard was a devastating mistake.

Remember, we're bidding with 10 other teams for Kevin Love's services. If we were to call Minnesota's front office and say "Listen. We want your superstar Forward, but Chandler Parsons(?) is OUT of the question" they'd laugh and trade him to the Lakers the next day.

Asik/Parsons/TJ/Canaan/Multiple firsts for Love would be my offer if I were Morey. Before you do that trade you dump Lin to free up space to possibly take Budinger (along with Love) in that deal..

I have always been a semi-believer that he would end up in a Lakers uniform simply because he is a california kid. But let's hope not!

Yikes. I'd bite the bullet on that trade too but it wouldn't be easy.

    Beverley/?
    Harden/?
    ?
    Love/Motiejunas
    Howard/?

would be our depth chart after the move. Not enough to win a Championship. I'd love to see how Morey fills out the remaining roster.

It would be a little over the top, but you need to show Minnesota you really want him compared to the others offering. Dumping Lin could free up space to obtain that Budinger contract. If this whole thing went down, I'd expect Morey to fill the bench with vets.. Steve Blake at backup point.. Troy as backup shooting guard.. maybe convince Ariza to come here for full MLE.. he and Bud could compete for starting gig. You could also try and bring in Channing Frye to back up Love.. Okafor is an option at back up center.. so is Camby if all else fails..

Point is there are a lot of options for Morey of he needs to fill spots. I trust him and what he could bring in. I do get the feeling that he does want Kevin Love badly. He has been making moves to free up space to sign someone in 2015.. that being LMA or Kevin Love. Morey will be knocking on Minnesotas door sooner rather than later. If he doesn't get Love, I'd suspect he would go and get Melo.
I think the Kevin Love debacle will be solved before next season begins.

It would get the deal done though wouldn't it? Morey has been planning this moment for years! I wouldn't at all doubt that (outside of Harden and Howard) he would give up just about anybody to obtain Kevin Love.

Keeping Love is no longer an option for them. Their option is having Love for 1 more year and being locked into 27 million for Love/Pekovic for 2014-15 then 3 more years of Pekovic at 12 million. Or they can have Chandler locked down for the long term (who is light years better than Brewer), get Millsap & Asik for a year. If they gel, pay them more and have a playoff team for the long run, if they don't turn their expirings for better assets at the deadline.

The question becomes do they want Pekovic for the long haul because they believe they can build around him or do they want Chandler to build around, good players in the short term and a ton of flexibility in the future to build around Chandler & Rubio.

No...I'd trade Harden for Love. I'd trade my scraps for Melo. Not sure how you got all that rant from my post

Still. Your essentially trading Melo for Harden. I thought I made that clear witg my post.

We don't need Melo. And this isn't 2K14.

Love trade for picks and other players should be enough to bring our roster to full strength. Your fantasy trades are wack.

I would trade Harden for Love as well. I love James but I am deathly afraid that he never becomes motivated enough to fulfill his potential.

The best thing about Love is his defensive rebounding %. Would help quite a bit. As well as his ability to stretch the floor and pass into Dwight. I believe they could have a tantalizing two man game.
