Harden is a better player with more talent. Dragic is a better player for a team, almost lead to the playoff with a bunch of scraps!
The problem is that harden will never take a team to the finals. He simply chokes in the playoffs. Meanwhile, look at that game dragic had in the playoffs went Nash went down with an injury.
not saying Dragic is better , but please stop with this get the team to playoff thing. by this logic, we don't need Love, Melo or Rondo, none of them able to get into the playoff as well
harden was a massive reason the thunder GOT to the finals. it remains to be seen if he can bring it consistently as the alpha dog though
This is two straight years of jaw-dropping defence, in the bad way. Two years is a long time. He is not a 6th man anymore, but has decided to totally forget about one side of the court. I did watch the 2012 WCF. Care to explain how Manu averaged over 18 ppg on 67% True shooting? Or during the times when the Thunder were not confident in his ability to guard Ginobli, Stephen Jackson shoots 17-25 from 3pt range. Bad rotations since the beginning.
His defense is bad but it isn't completely terrible. Our team defense was top 7 (top 5 before Dwight got hurt) in terms of opponents FG%. Per 100 possessions, our team gives up 0.5 points more when Harden is on the floor (which isn't good but isn't completely terrible) and opposing teams shoot an eFG% of 0.6% lower than when Harden is off the floor - http://www.82games.com/1314/13HOU6.HTM . So despite his defense not being that good, the team does a solid job at masking it and it does not have much of an effect overall.
It's only "legitimate" for trolling posters with an agenda like you. Why are we comparing a SG with a PG? Might as well compare Dwight and Dragic while we're at it. A better question would be comparing Dragic to our PGs, but obviously we know the answer to that already.
I think per stats are used inaccurately at times, and the post above is prime example. I don't care what analytic stat ppl wanna conjure up, Dragic is nowhere near the player Harden is. Harden even with his shortcomings is TWICE the player Dragic will ever be. No comparison. No NBA GM would ever build a team solely around Dragic lol. Stupid thread
You can argue that harden has an edge on Dragic and you can argue that Dragic had a fluke season that he'll not be able to replicate, but in no world can you argue that Harden is TWICE the player that dragic is. Based on their recent performance, they're pretty close.
We've found the new 2Pat for Carl. Anger for trading 2Pat, disappointed we won't trade Harden. We should just trade Harden for 2Pat, and all of Carl's dreams will come true.
Because teams don't gear their defense to stop Dragic, they will however have to adjust to Harden. Pretty simple if you ask me.
who do they gear to stop on the suns? gerald green? bledsoe missed half the season. this isn't outrageous because i'm under the belief that dragic too (like harden) had an all nba caliber year this year. but it's still harden by a noticeable margin, imo.
If you are using the one season Dragic plays like an all star, you might as well compare Linsanity numbers against Harden's in the same period and ask Lin or Harden, who's better? You'd at least get a bunch of irrational people on your side.
