So, we don't make any major moves this year (basically one year vets, expiring contracts, picks, etc) and go for Love 2015 with enough cap to sign him. Harden Love Howard.

I would be leery of trading for Love for just one year without the promise of an extension. He seems like the guy to me who could stomach going to a situation with no imminent possibility for winning, just so he could be in the location he wanted to be in. In other words, he could leave a championship contender in Houston to go play for the dreadful Lakers and even handle two years of mediocrity while LA waits to get out from under the shadow of Kobe's albatross contract.

LMA is the one we should be going after.

If McHale is able to convince Kevin to come to Houston, it'll be harder to fire him. McHale might not be a good coach but he is good at selling stuff.

Lol.. No way we are getting LMA.

Portland probably believes they are closer to a championship, more so than we are. And it makes sense considering they just beat us.

That's like them thinking we will trade them Dwight to replace their Robin Lopez.

Phil at least runs some semblance of an offense. I don't buy that. I'll buy you a beer, bro, if you prove me wrong, but comparing Phil to McHale?

    R U SRS?

Kobe nor Michael are walking through that proverbial door. This team NEEDS a coach. That's just my humble take.

You asked where does not an X's and O's coach come from, Phil Jackson uses those words verbatim to describe himself, and the offense came from Tex Winter, his longtime assistant, not from Phil

....anything he says otherwise is conjecture or (gasp) modesty. Tex didn't win those championships anymore than Phil did...not even close actually.

Not trying to flame here, my man, but who do you give more credit to those years? Tex or Phil? Be honest. You SHIRLEY don't think Phil just sat on the sidelines giving words of encouragement whilst Tex ran the "numbers".....tell me you don't think that.

Those teams have cap space now or next year and are in desirable cities for free agents.

Latest from Woj. If the Lakers/Celtics really offer up their 2014 lotto picks there's no way we can compete with that.
[rQUOTEr]Beyond the coaching search, the Wolves are under pressure to start considering trade scenarios for Love, who's anxious to exercise his Early Termination Option (ETO) in the summer of 2015 and leave as a free agent, league sources said.

"For the first time, [Saunders] sounds like looking at deals for [Love] is an option," one rival executive told Yahoo Sports.

The Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns are among many teams determined to make hard runs at trades for Love, league sources said. Boston and Los Angeles plan to make high-lottery picks in the 2014 NBA Draft available in offers for Love, sources said.

No team is likely to trade for Love without an assurance that he'll commit to a five-year, $100 million maximum contract extension in the summer of 2015. Despite a belief that Love prefers Los Angeles or New York as a potential destination, he's open to deals in other markets where he can be part of an immediate contender, sources said.[/rQUOTEr]

I've seen your "sig" too many times...I have to finally say something.

There's no way you're a member of my Armed Forces.

NO Marine would EVER refer to them as the "Core"....it's clearly the "Corp." Get your sh.t together, would-be-Marine.

Your moniker ALMOST equals your idiotic/wrong/false/fake-ass sig in stupidity. Congratulations, non-service-member.

....and no, the Rox never come before any of those. You're clearly a poser...I've seen people die for the corp, stop sullying their names.

I honestly think he'll be be happy to sign an extension as terms of whatever legit contending team offers the Wolves the best package. I don't think it would be the Lakers.

I'd offer any or all players for Love if it meant at least 3 years hopefully more of Harden, Howard and Love. Parsons, Asik, Bev, Jones, Picks, etc

I'd offer a can of raviolis if you'd remove that ridiculous sig.

"Hook 'Em 27-25" in gigantic, bold font???
However, I'm considering, "Seth Rogan, best actor EVAR!" in the same font, actually.

Asik/TJones/Parsons/Two first round picks for Kevin Love. Trade Lin for cap space to bring in a solid SF. Maybe you could convince Pierce or Deng to come to H-Town. If Love truly is available. I expect Morey to go fully after him instead of Carmelo.

For those who are gonna say "why would Minnesota want Asik? They have Pek." Asik can be flipped for picks. Perhaps they could trade with Atlanta?!

The head coach always gets credit, Phil was the one who sold the players on accepting it.

But it still doesn't change that Phil is neither an x's and o's coach, nor did he teach the triangle to his teams, an assistant did (he even said, you don't need to be an x's and o's guy, you can just have an assistant do that for you).

Doc Rivers is another example, the job of the head coach isn't to come up with the strategy, it's to convince the players to follow it.

As for Phil Jackson being modest? lol really?!?
