Lakers do have that high draft pick with which to make a deal. It is probably hard to beat a high pick in terms of trade assets for a team about to lose its star. I'd hope that Morey makes a run at Love, though, even with no guarantee he'd return in 2015. If need be, offer them James Harden in return. Harden should fit with Minnesota since they can't attract or keep a star and Harden is signed for multiple seasons. HOU can also take an unwanted contract or two off Minny's hands-- Kevin Martin anyone?
I was on suicide alert when they made that trade. I never agreed with it, and when everybody (even on this board) was calling him man-boobs I've defended klove at every step. But yeah the front office made a bone-headed move. PS your statement isn't very witty as you intended it to be. It's as if you think this information was lost on me or something. Should I preface my statement next time so you'll know not to make a fool of yourself.
YEAH! Dwight left a first round casualty.......to join another first round casualty! It seems to me that Love could go to LA (or NYK) and not do worse than getting bounced out in the first round, a la Dwight.
Asik? Pek. LAL's pick could look good but what else could they offer? Knixies got nada to offer but Melo, hello. So, Minny deals elsewhere or they take Lake's pick and a future pick + TE or they wait. BTW - - it's not like Wolves' roster is too shabby, home court in East?
If I was a free agent , East is lot easier to deal with top to bottom. Nets are a very very old roster , Indy is still young . Toronto ( lowry's future) , Chi ( Rose's health) Wiz ( young talented backcourt). Love to NY if Melo stays in NY?
Heat , Bosh and Lebron might opt out depending on next few weeks. Wade is a question going forward, most of the roster is older.
LAL can't trade their first round pick unless they get a first round pick in this years draft in return.
man if the Rockets dont get their free agent this season, Kevin Love would be a nice piece on this team via trade. And the Rockets would have the cap space with both Lin and Asik off the books. Harden, Love and Dwight would be a very scary team. Now if we can just figure out the coaching aspect of our team. And how to offload these bad contracts? http://tracking.si.com/2014/05/17/report-kevin-love-timberwolves-free-agent/?eref=sihp
That's to much for a pseudo superstar. That actually makes the rockets worse. I think most people tend to fall in love with his stats but don't actually sit down an really watch him play.
You would flip Harden for one year of Love with no guarantee he comes back? As a Minny fan I would absolutely love this, but don't see why y'all would want that.
I disagree 100%. I have watched a lot of Wolves games the last 2 years and love would be ideal for the rockets. He would be able to get the rebound when dwight goes for a block. He would be a perfect 3 star to have next to Harden and Howard. I would even give up parsons to get him. Then juat start a true 3d at sf and we are indeed a contender. If we actually start playing some defense every now and then.
Love would be another star on the roster who loves McHale. If the Rockets manage to keep Parsons that's 2 out of their big 3 and their captain on McHale's side. With that much support... if Harden doesn't get with the programme. He never will, regardless who the coach may be.
Whatever problems that may be inhibiting Harden's growth do not lie with his teammates or coach but exist solely in Harden's lazy brain.
