Me too! I loved the books immensely but I envy those who can watch the show unspoiled and unsure of what will happened next. In fact I only enjoy on reading/listening to recaps or podcasts about the show by those who havent read the books. Sepinwall at netflix is my favorite and also Andy Greenwald at Grantland. For podcasts I enjoy CastofKings at http://www.slashfilm.com and the guy on youtube otakuassemble.

There are Wights (which are the human zombies) and there are White Walkers (which are the supernatural beings that turn the dead into Wights), but there are no Wight Walkers.

This is the best one imo (not sure if already posted): <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/enVToQC-cB0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Wait a second. As I recall from Tyrion's trial in Eyrie, trial by combat allows someone else to volunteer to fight So if Jamie steps in to defend Tyrion's innocence, Tywin and Cersei can't let him lose and Tyrion is saved
The Champion of the realm The Mountain will be fighting for the Lannisters I believe. Pretty sure Oberyn wants a piece of that action.
Not necessarily volunteer, but he can name a "champion" to fight for him. Likewise for the accuser, else you'd have Tyrion fighting Cersei in a battle to the death.
