Yep, he's played a cut throat game but if Woo or Spencer get to the end I think he loses because he pissed off so many people.

i guess I'm reading things completely different. I never thought he was going to use the idol on anyone. Tony has proven his word doesn't mean anything. All he cares about is advancing himself. This late in the game, he can just lock up his spot with the idols.

I also think he's going to be tolerated a lot more than Russell was. Russell not only played cut throat, but appeared to be that way, period. Tony is just playing the game. I think even Woo will vote for him. I expect Tony to win, if he's there at the end. Spencer would be my second pick.

Think that's what he already told Kass didn't he? That his idols will take him through the final 4.

I don't remember if he told her, but he did say he was going to try and trick the others by saying it

Do you guys ever wonder if the producers tip off certain players about where the idols are? It always seems strange that the players who all the viewers love to hate seem to find the idols in the most random places (with cameras present, of course).

I'm pulling for Spencer now. He was dead in the water a few weeks ago. If he pulls this out, he deserves it.

I don't know about that but I think the clues are a lot easier than they were in past seasons where it would take 2 or 3 clues before it became obvious...

Yeah, i noticed that...a lot easier now...Tony has just been working OT looking for them, that's usually the case. Others want to lounge around or are working around camp, it's usually the few that are always "on" that spend a lot of time looking. Tony also got a clue for one of his.

I think Tony wins against Kass and Woo, I think Spencer is the only one that would have more votes than Tony.

Woo seems to be liked, but I don't think the jury will feel like he played the game well enough to win over Tony or Spencer. Kass will probably have no votes, everyone hates her. I think Spencer would beat anyone left in the game on votes if he makes it to the end. Next would be Tony, then Woo, then Kass in dead last.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see at least one "anyone but Kass" votes.

Woo showed you can't win by playing the honorable/loyal card. Didn't even point out Tony didn't win jack in competitions, he just found some idols.

Spencer with the dick move lobbying for Tony at tribal. Woo may have had a chance before that.

And the cops show why people don't trust them... What ever it takes to "win"

Agree with all that. I also think the "hypothetical vote" that they now do at the finale is the dumbest garbage ever. As if that's definitely how they would have voted.

Woo obviously doesn't have the gift of gab necessary to have helped himself at the interrogation session, but what kind of silliness is it letting Spencer make a speech as the last word?

That all said, Tony did deserve it. I was hoping that when he was asked if he really had a wife and kid, he would have lied and said "no". That would have been baller and caused a stir at the finale.

It looks like the new en vogue thing to do in Survivor is going to be viewing getting by with idols as a strike against you.

Woo just didn't strike me as the brightest guy in the final group. That honorable crap is meaningless when you're that close. I told the wife that Tony owes Spencer a nice steak dinner after that speech because I think that swayed a lot of the group more than anything else.

That's how you play survivor. It has nothing to do with being a cop or not being a cop. Boston Rob, Tyson, lots of players with various professions have won that way. You play to win the game. Spencer was exactly right in saying what he said. The audience might root for the underdog or the nice guy, but the game's designed to be won by deception. Everyone lies in the game, everyone. Better a player who played hard than a coattail rider or a goat winning.

And finding idols is just as important as winning immunity challenges, and has been since they introduced them into the game. Which is good, because the game is about a lot more than just who is best at solving puzzles.

Woo was getting crushed either way, I don't care what the hypothetical post-show vote nonsense said. He was choosing who won $1MM. He was friends with Tony during the game, may as well give it to him.

I don't think Woo would have blown out Cass so easily, as people think. Woo has experience speaking publicly because he teaches, but he's not very witty and calculating. Cass is, she would have made a speech exposing all of his holes and talking up her strengths. She would have crushed him then and at the very least made it a close vote.

If Woo would have made better points in his speech and Spencer would have kept his mouth shut, that also would have been a close vote. the first thing i thought after Spencer's speech was, if Woo's game was just an open and shut case of him being a lap dog, then why did Spencer feel the need to speak up for Tony? Such an easy case would not need any help. I wish Woo would have caught that and turned it around on Spencer.

and i agree, the hypothetical vote is crap.. they have already watched the whole season at that point.

either way..a great season, as much as people may want to say Woo screwed up, so did Cass. She jogged that whole final competition and lost by second. she's got no one to blame but herself.
