More Impressive Physical Freak: Clowney or Williams?

Of course, when I say "roughly Chad Henne's career stats, I mean a much less accurate version of Chad Henne, not the actual Chad Henne.

 

Ah, I did more looking and a more accurate comparison to Joe Flacco's career post-season stats is Mark Sanchez's career stats.

 

Mario. He just had more. He was pushing 300 lbs and was as fast as JC. Just as long as Clowney but taller as well.

We're comparing him to Schaub... greatness isn't necessary. Where are you getting 1TD/1int?.... Flacco is 19/8 TD. The hail mary was luck, but he's also a dropped TD away from beating NE twice with 2 SBs appearances. I promise Flacco won't throw any 4 yard pick-6's... Schaub's specialty.

 

I don't think him being slightly taller than some of the best pass rushers makes any difference at all, Bruce smith 6'4, Reggie White 6'5, Julius Peppers 6'5, jared allen 6'6, jason taylor 6'6, JJ Watt 6'5, etc.

yes he does. But that's was/is an issue with him specifically and not one that is applied to everyone his height.

 

Clowney by slight edge. I just think the speed advantage is so big especially since clowney has better moves at pass rushing. Both are freaks tho... I been wanting an olb that was a freak athlete for the longest...this is the clay Mathews jr. Type we wish we had...that kind of speed and attack except even larger. I can't wait!

 

If only Mario had accepted less money... our pass rush would be devastating to every other team out there.

 

Clowney's burst off the line is in another ball park compared to Mario.

Mario might have put up good combine numbers but the guy didn't look it on the field.

Aside from his 117 QB rating last year, he owns a 96 and 90 the 2 previous seasons. This includes the dropped TD pass in the end-zone ('11) which would've given BAL multiple SBs with Joe. It's silly to argue Flacco hasn't been clutch in the postseason. Even sillier when Schaub is the other contestant.

Mario didn't have 3 sacks his last year of college.

Flacco had more passing yards and TD's than Brees and Rodgers during their super bowl run. Flacco also had to beat Luck, Manning, Brady, and the San Francisco defense during his super bowl run which was very impressive.
