They're probably going to do a lot of re-shoots to make sure the movie doesn't suck. They can't afford to have this movie fail. Also, I wouldn't be shocked if they spent a year or two on the special effects alone.
Where does my post say anything about special effects making this movie good? You need to learn how to read.
Well right now I believe the release date is the same as Captain America 3. I wonder who will move their release date.
I'd say 60/40 Marvel moves theirs. Batman is DC's slam dunk ticket seller, but Ben Affleck weakens the appeal to the core audience.
My guess is Marvel will. It's a proven franchise at this point, and will definitely make them money but I don't think they want to try and go toe to toe with the name recognition of Batman vs Superman. If they come out on the same day I'm seeing Cap 3 first.
I think most people are the good will of WINTER SOLDIER which is getting the best reviews in some time Still riding the high of Avengers etc I don't think Marvel will blink in this game of chicken Rocket River
This is true. And they calculate which films to invest more into. They consciously release movies that are more of a cash grab than honest attempts at making a great movie. They allocate their resources and money wisely. They know they don't need every movie to be 10/10, they just sprinkle the honest attempts out sporadically. I think Iron Man, Hulk, Iron Man 3, Avengers and Captain America 2 were all focused attempts. The rest, less focus. Iron Man 3 and Hulk didn't pan out but the polish seemed to be there.
I don't think they make "cash grabs". I think they genuinely try to make the best product they can. It doesn't always turn out that way due to script and/or director's vision. I'll use Cap for example; the first one was mediocre. They found better directors, and the second one killed it. They were signed on to direct Cap 3 before Cap 2 even came out. Thor has switched directors twice already, possibly soon to be thrice. (although I hope Alan Taylor comes back -- I really liked Thor 2 and it's subtleties)
Agreed. Ang Lee was a big name at the time So . . .it wasn't like they went with unknown #1 I think Marvel films really invest more into their quality than the people doing the Spiderman movies [sony] and the fantastic four movies Rocket River
thats just cause that photo is so dark, The suit itself is grey with the black logo... Im just never was fan of the big logos i like the slimmer looking bat logo but its probably just because thats what i was used to as a kid.
Those were both fantastic films, but I think Affleck was known more for directing/producing those films than for his acting.
