When I said mandatory events, I was referring to training camp and especially regular season games. Sorry for the confusion; that term was too broad. Yes, he might skip a mini or something like that.

Ah, so an interception is judged based on if it happened to be returned for a TD? Oh well in that case, let's excuse his 22 interceptions then. I couldn't tell you how many of his 22 interceptions were taken back for a TD because it is so important that it's not even a tracked stat.

Why didn't Dre voice this before the denied contract?

    Timing seems funny.

Anyone listen to Matt Thomas regarding the situation?

I didnt catch it all, but the point that was brought up was that Andre may have been saying this, while thinking ahead to 2015. In other words, Andre could be a cap casualty in 2015 bc of the amount he's owed and the little dead money that would result if the Texans cut him. Therefore, if he shows his commitment to the team now, then they should show him commitment next season. Something along those lines...I missed a portion of it, so not sure.

Also, Tim Brown was on 610 saying that Andre was completely wrong in the way he handled the situation and that there should have been a better approach by him. I tend to agree with that. Brown was saying that when he was with the Raiders, even though they didnt win as much as he would have liked, he still played for the organization and the fans, because they were so loyal to them.

A pick 6 is the worst kind of interception. And mostly all of Schaub's pick 6's came in the same area of the field. Richard Sherman said he was waiting on it... Lol.

Just the same come playoff time. I'll take Flacco over Schaub. You can call these guys game managers all you want but at some point in time in a game those game managers have to make a play.

You act like they can just stick any quarterback in there and win a super bowl. If that was the case we would have one with Schaub.

Nope, not when your defense gives up 50 points to the Patriots.

The defense needs to play well to win a Superbowl...and Wade's defenses were always exposed by elite QBs.

That's just speculation. Dre came in the league when there was no rookie wage scale. He's not worried about money. He's worried about winning.

So are you telling me that QB's that manages these game don't have the capability to hit a home run pass from time to time. Again those two player's managed the game at that time especially in the playoffs. Throwing up a 50/50 pass doesn't equate to makung plays in my book.

But hey everybody views are different when it comes to topics like this. So please don't try and make it seems as if you are 100% correct.

Matt Thomas, who is a joke of a sports radio host that wishes he was hosting The Price is Right instead of a sportstalk show, has no inside sources into anything. He even prefaced his dialogue about Andre by saying he has no idea if anything he was going to say was true but that as a sports radio guy if he gets it right every now and then he's a genius or something like that.

You don't (read - shouldn't) judge things by how they happened to turn out. Did Schaub throw a bunch of bad passes? Absolutely, but by your "logic" a bad pass that happens to have been caught by a WR and taken 99 yards for a TD is "the best kind of pass" yet at the same time, a good pass where the WR falls down and the CB grabs it and takes it 99 yards breaking 7 tackles would be "the worst kind of pass".

I can't tell you how many pick 6's Flacco threw because no one cares enough to track that data....that should tell you that it really must be the most important information. What I can tell you is that Flacco threw 22 interceptions and performed worse at QB than the Texans' QB's performed last year. Do with that information what you will (probably make excuses for Flacco to fit your pre-conceived ideas).

Flacco has never been anywhere near the QB that Schaub was in his prime, unfortunately for Schaub, during his prime, he was never on a team that gave him offensive weapons AND a halfway competent defense at the same time. By the time the Texans managed it, Schaub was in decline.

First off, it's always about the money.

If he was so hell bent on winning, he would literally play for the league minimum in order to assure that 11 million is spent on upgrading other parts of the team.

Secondly, it's always about the money.

And I dont blame him for wanting as much money as he can get. The issue is that you cant have it both ways...both taking in a large contract at the WR position (which really handicaps a team) and then wanting to consistently win.

It wasn't really Wade's fault though, he didn't have the talent he needed. The Texans had no 4 man rush to speak of so the options were to blitz every down, or let the QB take a nap in the pocket. Add to that the significant injuries that forced them to start an ILB off the couch and you have a no-win situation that BB exposed.

You act like our offense was lighting it up against the patriots defense... Lol.

They only scored 13 points in the 1st 3 quarters. The defense can't win by itself.

The offense scored exactly as many points as Average Joe and the Ravens did the very next week when they beat the Patriots.....their defense held the Pats to 13 points for the entire game.

Okay, Im not using his words as fact and he even said it could be a theory he heard. I almost exclusively listen to Seth and Mike during lunch, but thought it was something that could hold true, even it its at 1%.

Dre specifically said he did not go to the Texans about a contract or a trade. He said he doesn't know if he wants to go through another rebuilding process.

You're the one saying he wants more money.

When did I act like our offense was golden?

You know how I really acted? I acted like it didnt matter who our QB was...we would have still lost.
