Let's look at the remaining teams in the playoffs. Outside of the Spurs, every team that remains go iso ball late in the games. Nets, Heat, OKC, Clips, Wiz..

The NBA wants small market in the Finals but NOT a team from Los Angeles that is in the national spotlight right now?

Why the hell would they want Portland to advance over Houston too? Bad calls are one thing. Bad refs are another thing. An NBA conspiracy to keep Los Angeles and Houston. out of the Finals (who would both draw bigger ratings than Portland/OKC/San Antonio) is outright stupid. They would also be putting a multi billion dollar business at risk for engineering results that would result in LOWER ratings. Houston may not be be considered a major market when compared to LA but imagine Lin in the finals - ratings wise in Asia.

 

There is a difference between getting away from your offense at the end of the game and having no offense at all. The Thunder run that iso stuff all game just like the Rockets. If the Thunder had a real offense this series would probably be over.

I don't have a problem with people calling Brooks a mediocre or bad coach. But a lot of coaches are mediocre or bad.

You think playing Perk is bad? Spo plays Rashard Lewis and had him guard Joe Johnson lol. But he has Lebron James. You get away with it when you have the greats.

Outside of Pop, and Carlisle, and Thibs, I don't think we have truly great coaches.

And heck, Thibs can't coach offense to save his life.

We overrate coaches way too much I think. The Heat have won 2 championships with Spo pretty much being a defensive coordinator. Lebron has been saving his ass. The only time they didn't win was when Lebron choked.

This was clearly rigged, refs kept OKC in the game, almost the whole game, at the end was just cherry on the cake.

This is one case where the game should be replayed from 11 seconds to go. When you have refs clearly ignoring indisputable evidence you cannot allow the result to stand. I hope the Clippers protest the game.
