I didn't think O'Brien had any contact with the players yet? (before these little voluntary workouts began)
Your comment doesn't make sense, what are you asking if I know "personally"? Andre is a pro who has only had 2 head coaches, the incompetent Capers and the soft player friendly Kubiak. Those are just facts.
I'm just repeating what I read. B'OB is going all Bellichek over there and I guess Andre is not having it. B'OB is saying no player is bigger than the team, get with it or get out. This makes me happy.
Did he not like BO'B taking his picture down in the locker room? This offense could really be good for him a la Randy Moss (I know we don't have Tom Brady!), but he needs to get in and onboard since he is under contract.
agreed. If BO'B is making him work hard and injecting some discipline in the team, it's a good thing. Andre isn't above that...
Top 5 wideout for a backup QB and a 5th(horrible value). Assuming the Texans will eat salary, they will get good value off of him. You can probably get a 2nd/3rd. I'd personally go after a good ILB on a contending team.
I'm sure all this hard work feels like it's for nothing after last year and a college coach coming in saying your accomplishments are nothing to me peeved him a bit. B'OB is going the Belli route with this team. Great coach.
O'brien ain't all about that good old boy bs and that's what Andre seems to be used to. What Ed Reed said in one year last year Andre should have said 10 years ago... now he wants to talk. Okaaay... it takes championship things to be done and practiced for you to be a champion... being a champion is a way a life just like being a loser. If Andre doesn't accept that reality here with O'Brien how in the heck will he work with BB? Maybe he needs to go to Baltimore...
When was the last time any player was traded for a 2nd or 3rd round pick? Teams don't give up that kind of value, especially for WRs who are a dime a dozen.
If that is true, I have a hard time believing that AJ would balk at it. He's been the one model of professionalism, excellence, and consistency in this organization. For the guy whom embodies "team first" to get pissed at someone for beating the "team first" drum just seems weird. None of his comments have mentioned, even in the slightest, the new regime, either. It just doesn't seem like AJ and BOB have had (or been allowed to have) enough contact to even facilitate this kind of friction. This is all I could find regarding AJ/BOB's relationship: http://www.houstontexans.com/tv-med...-changes/5a7534d5-b59b-4671-a736-69894ffad5f6
Guess what other great WR is on his 3rd coach and only 3 winning seasons and two playoff seasons and has gone through 6 different starting QBs?
I'm pretty sure andre johnson would be the last guy accused of doing this And you keep mentioning bill bellicheck which I don't buy. This reeks of Josh McDaniels if anything. A guy that came into an organization headed in the right direction and pulled a tough guy act, effectively imploding the team
Nothing screams acting bigger than the team than Andre Johnson, a guy who for over a decade never said a negative word about this disaster of an organization.
Well we would have thought that Asik would have been the last guy to throw a fit, but.... Even the most "team oriented" players can be idiots at times.
