Exactly. I understand why he might feel down in the dumps right now, but when he gets around to thinking more rationally, I think he'll realize that the sky isn't falling. Hopefully that happens before he goes to far and alienates himself from the team too much. It would be a shame for him to be forced into retirement already.
Trade him to NE. Let him finish his career catching passes for Brady fighting for a championship. He deserves it.
I would hate to see Dre in a different uniform but you're right he deserves to finally play with an elite qb. Can only imagine what type of stats he would have with a Manning, Brady, Brees, or Rodgers.
Andre is not stupid. He wouldnt be saying this to the media if he didnt want out. He wants to move on
If he's too much of a distraction, they could just tell him to stay home for the next 2 years, effectively ending his career. I don't think it will come to that, I think he's just throwing a temper tantrum right now and he'll come around once he starts thinking like an adult again. He's entitled to a momentary loss of bearing after being a team guy for so long, but it needs to be quick.
He IS stupid if he thinks this is the way to get what he wants. When is the last time that being a whiner worked for someone? How did it work out for MJD?
Probably ill advised but after the way Dallas drafted it is clear that we (DAL) want to try to win in the Romo era. If we could make it work under the cap I would give up a pretty nice draft pick or two for AJ. AJ on one side and Dez on the other.
I don't blame him. Anyone in his position would feel disgusted. TheTexans have wasted his career. Years of the Carr debacle. Then Kubiak and Schaub turned an explosive big play receiver into a possession receiver for years. He doesn't owe the Texans anything. NFL players with contracts get cut all the time. I have no problem with that cutting both ways. If he wants a trade, trade him. I wish him the best.
Someone on Battleredblog (his source)claimed that O'Brien pissed off Andre and that's the cause for this. I'm not one to doubt this. BO'B brought in that college feel.
He has respect for the organization and so do they. I think they would consider trading him. Thats just my opinion of course.
I wouldn't be terribly surprised if that was the case, all he's ever known was Dom Capers' incompetence and Kubiak's soft player friendly coaching methods. I have no doubt he'd react poorly to a competent coach that requires excellence.
Going public with this BS right after the draft isn't having "respect for the organization" and I don't think they'll appreciate it.
and i guess you know that personally? andre is a pro who knows how to act like one, i think your comment is asnine
