Didn't think this would be a blowout.

That's why some of us expected a closer series. Took them 4 games to find some ground vs an experienced team. But it's too late. Over in 5.

The Spurs missed a lot of shots(open and in the paint) from every where and they were playing against a much more energized Blazer team. Well atleast they go back to San Antonio

I said it in 5 any ways, i'm surprised now it isn't a sweep.

As expected, they got hot one night and won one. This ends very soon though.

Clearly lost the game so they can win in Texas and pay respect to the Rockets.

Yeah, we then shipped Greene, Bobby Jackson, and 1st round pick for Artest.

They shot 44% overall, 48% in the first half. They weren't hot. They just finally defended (or the Spurs just missed shots). Blazers are actually better than they have shown. But the spurs have way too much experience for them to handle, and most of these Blazers never have gone this far. They couldn't handle what the Spurs threw at them.

That's why experience matters in the playoffs. Dallas isn't a great team, but took the Spurs to 7 games.

It's a good learning experience for the Blazers.

I really don't see how experience will help the team, maybe the coach...their playstyle is basically the same as the Rockets...except they take more jumpers and avoid the paint more and still play no defense and move the ball more but it doesn't matter because they are still mostly a jumpshooting/no defense team.

That style of ball isn't going to get them past the 2nd round in any year. Experience or no.

In general, but moreso in the playoffs, teams make runs. Every team does. Experienced (and generally the better) teams withstand those runs and make their own runs. And you're right, that requires some sort of defensive consistency.

But this team is young. They're just playing on pure talent. So up and down, hectic, and lack of defense was expected. They were fortunate to play the Rockets, which played less defense (which was surprising b/c you had a DPOY candidate to anchor the D).

But if the Blazers do have guys who love defense (Batum, Matthews, Lopez, Robinson). So hopefully Stotts, if he's a good coach, will emphasize defense for next year if the Blazers want to take that next step.

The teams that remain who can win are: Spurs, OKC, and Heat. Why? B/c they have consistent defense AND consistent offense. You need balance.

Pacers have erratic to zero offense. And the Clips love offense moreso than defense.

Some Blazers fan actually think they are going to win the series lol. Delusional.
Like I said, Spurs gave them hope with this game, and they are going to mercilessly decimate and demolish the Blazers hopes and dreams next game.

Enjoy your fluke win Portland Failures.

Hoping for the sweep, but I guess the Spurs wanted to help out the workers at the AT&T center with another game.

Portland actually being able to win another game, likely won't though.

and Spur's 3 ball was off the whole game. Danny Green finally woke up in the last 2 mins of the game. I'm ready for game 5.
