    Hmmm....

Our 2 championships were won by a coach who was not a great X's and O's guy, but a coach who knew how to get the best out of his players.

I'm not saying Mchale is Rudy, i'm saying Rudy surrounded himself with coaches who were good with the X's and O's...

Also it helps to have the Dream...

But, there are some coaches who are good as assistants but not as the head coach. Norv Turner, Buddy Ryan, etc.... Brown is a good defensive coach and the rockets need a lot of help with their TEAM defense, so this is a match made in heaven.

Why's JB Bickerstaff here? He's the offensive guy, yet the offense has had a lot of issues of getting easy shots.

Nothing against Brown as an assistant. I just don't like it because it feels like he would be the odds on favorite to he the head coach In Howard's last year. Feels like all this effort to get Howard and then wasting it on retread coaches.

It seems the Rockets now realize they lack a system and are sensibly trying to install the best in class system - Popovich's system. Which may be a good idea, and perhaps better than having a Van Gundy system. So they're trying to hire an ex-Spurs assistant - the logic is clear, but not sure if Mike Brown is the guy.

But seriously is there any substance to this other than water cooler chit chat speculation? This idea has been kicked around by other guys on the forum before cyberx posted.

JVG was offense, Thibs handled the defense. Don't you remember the Rockets O under JVG? :(

Caveat: Brown never won something major without Lebron and in the West.

Why stop at Mike Brown? Lets bring in Dantoni for offense too! So that way McHale can even stop pretending to do anything.

Can we get D'antoni to create our final 10 second plays?

    WTF, nothing venture nothing gain!

Let's have D'antoni for offense and
    Mike Brown for defense!

Wait, who is going to do X's and O's during the game?
