I'm not one to dwell on conspiracy theories, but doesn't anyone else find it awfully convenient that we can frack for oil to feed our cars, but we can't frack for water to feed our children and plants?

Well this should bring some relief.. Lets hope the models are right. Actually, lets hope they are under estimating the rain!

Because desalination is expensive. There are aquifers in West Texas.

Good lord! I just hope that it falls where it will feed the two lakes that matter the most, Travis and Buchanan.

Man, it's nice to wake up at 2 a.m. hearing rain/thunder and fall back asleep to that...especially when you know how much it's needed.

^^ That is just depressing. No rain appears to be in site for a good week either.

F*** it. I need to see if my HOA will let me replace my grass with turf. Tired of watering and fertilizing so much for average looking grass.

It is really brutal out in California right now, and we're setting temp. records all around the Bay Area. Plus nobody in SF has AC, if you can believe that.

Not sure what you mean by this. Are you asking why we can't push water into a well to push water out of a well?
