    I have to say...

Books vs. Non-books is a nice change of pace from the LOF vs. The World Clutchfans battle. I'm enjoying this!

First episode to not feature a single Stark. Is this officially a Lannister show now? Hope so.

I am a book reader and I appreciate the books and the TV show separately (or at least I try to do so). I can understand where people are being stupid when it comes to "theories" and "I bet this could happen..." garbage that you guys get bent out of shape.

Where I think that you guys are missing out on a ton of information is when you want an explanation about the story and someone gives you that information from the book. There is so much that the show will never be able to explain that the book goes into lots of detail. I don't think giving back story that fleshes out a character is a spoiler.

As someone that loves the story, I really hate when someone ruins it. That does GRRM's vision an injustice.

I post in both threads. The discussions are different and the show is different enough from the books that I can discuss the show as its own entity. There are enough differences that even when you know the ultimate outcome, you can still speculate on certain things purely as a watcher.

When I do say something that's somewhat spolierish 1) it's usually when someone asks a question, 2) there was some difference between the book and show, 3) it's in the past, meaning it won't spoil what's to come on the show, and 4) I use the spoiler tag anyway and use a disclaimer to let people know what's inside.

Case in point is my post on the last page. Somebody asked a question and I answered it. It was a minor spoiler but also something that the show has passed by, meaning it won't affect anything on the future of the show. And I used the spoiler tags.

The rest of the post dealt with specifically with what was on the show and what I thought the show creators were trying to do.

I was in Anaheim last week and watched two episodes in a row. Perhaps Arya with Clegane and Sansa in the Eyrie were the previous episode.

paging tinman. 96ers unite against these HBOF's! The numbers are clear, more people enjoy watching the shows on TV than those who read the books.

    Lets boo the HBOL's!

Why else would Shae remember all the lovey dovey talk between her and Tyrion if she didn't really love him? This was more than just pre-lap dance talk at treasures.

I would be pretty disappointed if the creators really do go with "a w**** is always a w****" and make Shae such a one-dimensional character.

I love how Oberyn kind of leans forward just after Tyrion makes his request.

He's like "Oohhh ****'s about to get interesting in here finally!"

The actor that plays him does a really damn good job. My favorite was when Tywin calls for all the irrelevant talk to stop, and still, Oberyn asks Shae, "So...did you **** him like it was his last night?"

That was a great line, and it's awesome to see the actor just lounge about in his chair when Tywin Lannister is sitting right next to him. I'm slightly disappointed that Oberyn didn't ask more questions though, he was the only remotely objective character in the whole room. Could've probed the witnesses a bit more.

I'm perfectly happy with book readers filling in some details about previous episodes, but a few pages back, somebody posted along the lines of 'you'll know by the end of this season XXXYYY about whatever', which was really really annoying to see.

I also would rather book readers stick to their own thread. I started watching the show first, after the first couple of seasons went back and listened to the books but not up to what was on screen , didn't want to mix the two and spoil it . I will not return to the books until the show has ended .

The shows writers along with HBO's previews already do too much spoiling themselves . Book readers may not even realize some of the little things that can lead to spoilers , for example , all the book readers got super excited the first time Oberyn entered the picture , for non book readers it might have been much better to figure out and watch this character naturally evolve and not automatically know that he would play a huge role in the story .

There is not a book readers thread. There is a season 4 spoiler thread.

Anyways, If finding out Oberyn is a main character is a spoiler for you, you might want to avoid the internet altogether.
