They nailed Superman, Superman's parents and Zod. Nolan was probably responsible for it.

I think its funny that people still complain about Affleck as the Bat. 10 years ago, it would be ridiculous, but today, he's a legit actor. Argo, State of Play, The Town, Company Men have shown he's past the J-Lo years.

Anywho, I'm settling on the idea with Eisenberg a bit. He can definitely be the arrogant genius. Just the problem is, he's gonna completely lack any screne presence when he's only 5'8 in comparison to the 6'1 Henry Cavill and the 6'4 Ben Affleck. It might come off as hilarious.

I think it's hard for people to buy major celebrities as superheroes. Usually you get a no-name who defines the hero, not vice versa. When you see Batman you'll think, damn, that's Ben Affleck.

When you saw Christian Bale, the new Superman, Thor, Jennifer Lawrence, Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. (his career was crapped on), Fasbender, etc... the audience felt like they defined the character somewhat. These were not A-list actors, not at the time they were cast.

Joaquin Phoenix passes on the role of Lex Luthor

Warner Bros. had approached Joaquin Phoenix initially for the role of Lex Luthor, but passed.

Phoenix would've been the perfect actor with his range. But how did they go from him to Eisenberg who basically plays himself in all his movies? Both actors have totally different ranges.

Three More Actors Officially Added To BvS

Had no idea, but apparently Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), and Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) were added to the cast like a week ago.

Snyder said they're new creations for the film, but I'm not buying that. I'm putting good money on Callan Mulvey being the second villain next to Lex Luthor.

And Holly Hunter is a really good actress, wonder why she'd want to do a CBM

Missed Opportunity, when superman was floating in the water with the whales in the last movie, they should have hinted at aquaman being there with a quick shadow across the screen.

Ray Fisher to Play Cyborg In ‘Batman-Superman’
After testing actors over the past couple weeks, Warner Bros. and D.C. have tapped theater actor Ray Fisher for the role of Cyborg in the untitled Batman-Superman pic.

Cyborg, while not a major part in the Batman-Superman feature, is a member of the Justice League and will become a much more significant role as Warner and D.C. develop more films related to the Justice League universe, sources confirm.

Fisher joins the Batman-Superman cast which includes Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot and Amy Adams with Zack Snyder directing.

Production is currently underway in Michigan.

Written by David S. Goyer, the screenplay for Batman-Superman is based on a story co-created by Goyer and Snyder.
Cavill, who plays Superman in the film, expressed a great deal of promise in Cyborg in the recent “Man of Steel” bonus feature, as well as the fictional research facility S.T.A.R. Labs, which appears in several DC Comics.

“I think he would create an incredible bridge between superheroes and humanity,” Cavill said of the Cyborg character.
S.T.A.R. Labs was also the workplace of Justice League characters Professor Hamilton and superhero Rampage, although it’s unclear whether they are involved in Batman-Superman.

Produced by Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder, the untitled Batman-Superman feature opens May 6, 2016.

Looks like this movie is a set up for a coming Justice League movie, kinda like Iron Man 2. Interesting that they chose a theater actor for such a big movie (who hasn't starred in any other movie). I'm hoping their plan is to first introduce him on Arrow or Flash as Victor Stone at S.T.A.R. Labs!

LOL how many characters are they planning on putting in this movie?

Over-saturation of characters + Snyder = Gonna be weak

I take it you're not a fan of Watchmen or 300?

And didn't you read the article? Cyborg will only be in it for a cameo. What over-saturation is occurring? Batman, Superhero, Lex Luthor are the only big guns in this movie, everyone else is gonna have a pretty small role, I'd imagine.

This Avengers Overnight formula has me worried.

Isn't Affleck having his boy from Argo re-writing the script? That gives me some relief.

I thought MOS was awesome, btw, and have not seen criticism of the movie that you could not make (much more so) about any other super hero movie.

It held up well for me when I watched it again last month, but I still feel that it suffered from poor editing due to time constraints The lois-superman relationship never made sense, not to mention I couldn't figure out why Zod wanted her in Orbit or why the Superman-Zod Metropolis fight ended up landing at her feet over and over again.

Still, it was a great action flick. Will watch SvB

it's not like all these cameo's are going to be dispersed throughout the movie and every 15 minutes we see some other random hero.

Something tells me all these cameos are going to center around an event at the end of the film. Future big bad, wreaking havoc . . . superman sidelined . . . disparate individuals have to come together to pick up the slack . . . the end/cliff hanger.

My thoughts as well. The ending will definitely bring the League together and I'm thinking Batman may be the one doing. He's probably kept an eye on all of them for some time and brings them together.
