I don't know why but he reminds me of Shandon Anderson without the defense. Really awkward offensively. If he isn't shooting threes he's useless.

I'm pretty sure McHale and the Rockets were ready to give Hamilton all the minutes he could handle after the first two games after the trade, but he quickly shot himself out of the rotation. Then, when he did get time, he was forcing shots and trying to make plays out of nothing, often resulting in a turnover.

I still have hopes for him, if we bring him back. It's really hard to come to a new team halfway into the season and be expected to contribute right away. Hopefully an offseason with the guys and coaching staff will allow him to find his groove. I still wished we would have played him more this season, especially late in the season and in the playoffs. It was evident that Harden and Parsons were dead tired by then and Hamilton supplies average shooting and defense but also another body in the rotation.

I agree, our guys were clearly tired and could use some help, Mchale gave no one on the bench a chance but Daniels because he shoots three's our system is a gimmick like Mike D'antoni.

He's got plenty of time to refurbish it during the off season.

He was playing badly when he got moved out of the rotation. Even then, I think we were trying to get Garcia ready for the playoffs since he was coming back from an injury. Not surprising since he's literally our only "veteran" outside of Dwight.

As stated before, Hamilton's contract is done as of .... well... now (technically June 30th). He will need to be resigned to a new contract, and the Rockets are limited in the amount they can offer Jordan since his final year was not picked up by Denver.

I believe the most the Rockets can offer him in July is 2 million dollars (would most likely be taken from the mid-level exception) but I doubt they offer that much to him.

More than likely they offer him a training camp invite on a non-guaranteed 2 year veteran min contract similar to the one Omri Casspi received last year, and that is going to come AFTER the Rockets make any other significant trades or signings since they can always offer that contract after the team is already over the cap.

I fully expect Jordan Hamilton to walk from the Rockets this off-season, and take possibly more money, and more guarantee of making the roster with another NBA team.
