I thought about that. Obviously, that's the title of the 8th episode. I questioned if a man who was part of the trial would be able to do so though.
i don't know if he can accept because he's a judge, but i think he'll call for oberyn to fight for him
I think obreyn will volunteer , he does have a score to settle Also does anyone else think that red dragon is gonna be trouble ? Seems like they are foreshadowing something with him ... Snapping at Danerys and also the other dragons and now roasting the local livestock
So, does Tyrion ask for Oberyn or does Oberyn volunteer? I would think he volunteers. Gets his chance at The Mountain. But, how is The Mountain brought into play in the first place? Oberyn asked a couple of questions in the trial. Shows he's actually interested in Tyrion's story. And with his conversation with Cersei before this episode, he seemed to believe Tyrion is innocent. Perhaps he capitalizes on this opportunity and requests that he battle The Mountain defending Tyrion.
It would make more sense to me if Cersei chooses the mountain first, and then Oberyn volunteers to fight for Tyrion.
Hadn't thought of that, that's a possibility. What gives Cersei the right to pick though? Perhaps Tywin concedes that to Cersei since she was the accuser and lost her son.
Just seems like the mountain would be their ( tywins) obvious choice . Most fearsome fighter and he is directly under tywin
That whole scene in the court. Amazing, haven't been that captivated since Breaking Bad (for a single speech)
That's true, assuming the rules of court as the same as the Eyrie, then they would need volunteers/request people to fight for them. The Mountain vs Red Viper would make sense as the trial by combat. I reckon it will be Cersei who chooses the Mountain (since she always wanted Tyrion dead anyway), but Tywin won't. He wants to keep the original deal of sending Tyrion to the walll, and Jamie to be head of Casterley Rock. Tyrion should know this, and might try to choose Jamie to force Tywin's hand. When Tyrion tries to choose Jamie, Oberyn steps in instead and volunteers. But it seems too straight forward though...
Because they're stupid needy ****s who want to feel validated. They can't comprehend self-control. Report them and kick those idiots out.
I was very impressed with Yara's pep-talk speech. At least until Davos blew up her spot. At least until Tyrion blew up his spot. Everyone else on that other continent is super exotic looking, and they make Mycroft Holmes the random bank manager.
or much better if Tyrion would fight against his own father with all that was said in the last episode. also, there was scene in the s4 trailer showing prince oberyn fighting somebody where a crowd of people watching but it didn't show his opponent.... great episode, but khaleesi is getting boring..
Nobody spoiled anything. She was a w****. She was being sent away to what equals the middle east. A bag of diamonds in the middle east or living the royal life back in the castle?
The speech episode for sure, some great one in this one but Tyrion's at the end was just amazing. Might as well just had "for your consideration" scroll on the bottom....
