Your summary of the last 10 minutes left out::

Westbrook - 0 turnovers (4 for the game)
Durant - 2 turnovers (8 for the game)

good point. westbrook is not afraid to come out and play.

until harden decides to trust his teammates and play team ball - he's not going to go to the next level or 2nd round. other players have this problem of wanting to be the hero too much too.

the other part is, we need to great coach to rally the guys and make sure everyone plays for the good of the team not for themselves to make a shot or be a hero. honestly spurs are a great team to have as an example of great teamwork and coaching. unselfish ball.

At this point, I think it's pretty clear that Westbrook is a better all-around player than Harden. I just can't give the nod to a guy who makes every guy he guards look like Kevin Durant on a hot-shooting night.

Because Brooks idiotically posted him up, making him easier to double.

So you don't post up when you have 10-11 inches on the guy guarding you? Unfortunately, that would have been the right play, but Durant kept flloating on the perimeter? Now that's idiotic.

Would you put Hakeem on the perimeter if the taller Mutombo is guarding him? Now that's idiotic.

So you're agreeing with me lol. It was idiotic for Durant to float on the perimeter.

No, he's not a post player. Don't try to post him when that's not his game.

So you are insinuating the best scorer in the game cannot post up at all?

FYI: Hakeem can dance on the perimeter.

That's right, Durant cannot post up at all.

SMH. I think league pass should be mandatory for most on NBA Dish.

Wow, 3 minutes, 1 minute of which was an intro and most of the actual plays were from the perimiter.

Look, Dwight is a good 3pt shooter.

If they posted Durant on CP3, the Clippers would have brought Granger down on the double leaving Sefolosha open. I think Doc Rivers would be content having Sefolosha beat them rather than Durant or Westbrook. But Durant was never in the post and they were able to bring Collison over to force him to throw the ball away multiple times. OKC will definitely watch the film tomorrow and adjust on this game saving approach by Rivers.

Brooks is just not a good coach drawing up those plays.

    http://www.chatsports.com/oklahoma-...vin-Durant-to-start-posting-up-more-2-9485970

The Thunder are actually sixth in the league in efficiency when they do post up, scoring 0.90 points per possession on those plays. Kevin Durant is of course the most efficient post-up player for the Thunder, accounting for 40.57 percent of OKC’s post-ups on the year and scoring 1.09 points per possession on those plays.

Not a big part of his game, but he can post up. He should do more. But zero excuse vs a midget that he can't even see since he's 10-11 inches shorter.

The problem is the play. Clippers forced him to pass out and OKC did not adjust.

No it was Durant who refused to go hard and attack. He stayed around on the perimeter near the 3pt line in the middle of the court. That's not a place you post up midgets.

OKC tried numerous plays to get Durant open from CP3, who had great success in denying him the ball, which was ridiculous also. They tried the pick and roll, and Durant rolled softly. They tried to iso Durant, and he danced on the perimeter.

And it's not like Durant didn't face this in the regular season.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2012306-the-blueprint-for-defending-dominant-kevin-durant

"In the post, defenses have brought 54 hard doubles at Durant, according to Synergy Sports (subscription required). Yet the Thunder is still scoring 0.907 points per possession in such instances. That's good for 11th in league among all players who have seen 20 or more double teams in the post."

The point is Durant should have fought his way harder down into the post prior to calling for the ball and do it quicker. That would have spaced out the floor more. Instead, he was too hesitant, and too passive. That's on him. Many possessions OKC wasted time on the clock trying to get the ball to Durant, but Durant couldn't do anything.

I'm sure Durant will solve this the next game if Rivers tried this again, but Durant solved it near the end by fighting harder for the ball. But momentum changed then.

That's my entire point. Durant tried to post up basically at the free circle at the top. That's completely idiotic.

This wasn't a game saving approach by Rivers. It was a hesitant and passive Durant saving the Clips. He solved at the end as he scored 2-3 straight times, but then the momentum changed.

Durant was mad in the post game, and he should have. No excuse for CP3 shutting down the best scorer in the game. He'll bounce back, and will dominate.

Here we go again with blaming Durant for hid team not being able to get him the ball in good spots.

The best player in the game is an idiot? Really?
