Checked out earlier this week, really looking forward to it and damn I love me some Eva Green, scary and hot at the same time!

 

I watched this earlier online as well, and it definitely looks like fun, and I will be watching it when it starts, to see if it fulfills the promise of the premiere..

Just FYI, for anyone thinking 'I love some Eva Green.. maybe so, but she (at least so far) seems to spend most of her time clad in outfits about as revealing as a burka. I don't know if that will change over the course of the show, but so far it's definitely not a flesh-fest.. unless you count a big naked Frankenstein's Monster.. *shudder*

 

Why not just go with your own review? Watch it before other people review it. Make up your own mind.

I started watching the first episode and it's intriguing. I won't sway you either way.

Why didn't the little girl wake up as soon as the woman screamed?!?!? I hate these horror cliches.

 

If I hear Eva Green is up to her usual flesh-baring self in this, maybe I'll watch.

But I wouldn't be able to record it on U-Verse and watch later. My wife would know in ten seconds flat why I'd record it: (half smiling) "Hey wait a minute. Isn't she from '300'? The one who showed her boobs?"

"Uuuuuuuuuhhhhh" (flop sweat) "is it? Gosh, so it is...."

 

First episode but I get the feeling her character and Hartnet's will be doing the deed shortly....

Wife knows and really doesn't care, there's a reason we've been married for so long:grin:

 

The first show seemed ok. Will give it a few.

Watched the early preview of episode one, and it was pretty good.

vampires die kind of easily for creatures who have been around since the Egyptian age though.

 

maybe because I took some sleep aid, but I fell asleep halfway through. Will re-watch it tomorrow. the first scene did make me jump.

 

Saw a review saying it was just about vampires, but apparently it doesn't look it, from the trailers.

I'm in for Eva Green. Anything else is just a bonus.

 

Jeez, I need to watch* at that movie, lol.

2nd episode was pretty good, though some of the accents and dialogue was difficult to understand. In particular the w**** that Ethan met who has tuberculosis, and the seance. Didn't expect that ending with Proteus.

 

This show has been a disappointment so far for me. Is it supposed to be scary, or creepy? I don't think it's scary at all. It seems to be a bit of a mess.
