Not great film overall despite that nice pass. Could've easily thrown 5 or 6 picks instead of just the two. And while he was under pressure most of the time, 3 of those dropped INTs came when his pocket held. However, that was the first game of the season (against the eventual national champs) and his first game in a couple of years because of the transfers. This could've been what Casserly was talking about when he said that some scouts saw him early in the year and gave him a 5th/6th round grade and others saw him late in the year and gave him a 3rd round grade.
It's okay, we are getting a solid QB in the first round next year. We'll have a chance in the middle of the 1st at either Hundley or Petty. I'll take either of them. And if Savage shows some actual potential, then we get to add a star DE and continue the trend of developing the best front 7 in the league. Im looking at you, Seattle.
"This stuff"? This post and similar posts on the BBS at the time of pick are the exact reason Sam's pick is newsworthy. Your moronic, small, and subsequent, derogatory comments demonstrate why his announcement was both risky for him (monetarily and emotionally) and courageous. He'll have to deal with backwards and inappropriate comments such as yours every Sunday he steps on the field. He decided being true to himself was more important than keeping the status quo. Deal with it....and again, the fact you apparantly are having trouble doing is a primary reason this makes the event one worth talking about. Don't bother responding, you already made it to ignore.
I thought they wanted a change of pace back. Blue just said he most compares himself to Arian Foster. Andre Brown runs similar to Foster as well. So they have 3 backs on the roster who pretty much run the same way.
That Ballentine dude can lay the wood. Watched him play UH many times. Always the most dangerous defender Memphis had. He may go the way of Troy Nolan, though. He should try to find a niche in special teams if he wants to stick around.
We don't even have to have "the best" front 7, all we need is to be able to generate pressure with a 4 man rush like Seattle can and we'll be infinitely better than last year where our pass rush was JJ Watt.
Clowney will rack up sacks at home. When tackles have to watch the snap because of crowd noise, Clowney will be by them by the time they get off their stance.
Throw them in there too. They're so good that there defense was statistically better without Aldon Smith last season. But Carolina holds the crown as of now. Prime reason I would rather the Texans run a 4-3 base defense. Would serve better for J.J. and Clowney. Carolina, St Louis, Buffalo, and San Francisco _ San Francisco is the only one that runs a 3-4 out that group and our middle linebacker core and safety core is no where near as strong as theirs.
