<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ZXuczbKdP5g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> It was a fun season. There was no TNT Curse, that's in your mind
Best SF!!! except for... Batum Ariza Melo Durant Pierce LeBron Leonard Iggy George Stephenson Beal ... and probably another 10 more. stay humble Parsons and PLAY SOME DEFENSE!!!
Other than Durant and Lebron, I don't see other SF able to do nifty layups in traffic the way Parsons does. No bias just the screen eye test. I wonder how Parsons would be with a real coaching staff.
You seriously don't know what the hell you're talking about. And a few of them aren't even small forwards.
Agreed. The right coach and system and he can absolutely be the third star on this team and a top 5-6 SF.
Someone should teach pretty boy how to be humble and smart. Oh yeah, someone should also teach him how to make a layup.
that was fun. I dont see him leaving anytime soon. I hope he stays and continue to improve. Do you guys believe that he will try to fix the arc in his shot again? I remember that he tried that but reverted early in the season.
As Parsons goes, often, so does the team. When he was giving effort, the team often followed suit. So I give him credit. But I'll agree with your sentiments to a degree. He did start spouting off just a little too much. Not Terrell Owens-style, mind you. But just enough to irritate. I have a coworker (well, actually he works security in this building) who saw Parsons and other Rockets clubbin' it up, yelling stuff about, "We're the greatest team in the NBA!" or some such nonsense. Granted, he's young, he's entitled to some fun, some bravado. But it all comes crashing down to earth in 6 games in the first effing round. Then he doesn't look so full of bravado: "This is the worst feeling..." EVERYthing the team could do wrong in that series, they did wrong. Everything was that last little detail. Howard doesn't back-iron that dunk? We win in regulation. Parsons doesn't blow three layups in Game 6? We go to game 7. Harden bothers to show up before Game 6? We'd be crying about how the Spurs are manhandling the Rockets right now. I did get tired of the Parsons post-game downcast interview, the, "We've just got to take these teams seriously; we've got to jump on them from the get-go; we've...." Parsons was a first-round steal and he's mostly a positive for the team. Plus he sells lots of tickets and overpriced beers for middle-aged drunk white women. (Okay, j/k....sort of.) But we got Dwight to win now. No more excuses. I think Parsons will learn from all this (and hopefully just let the contract situation take care of itself rather than break his leg trying to get that extra million: "Coach doesn't play me too many minutes, I'm young, I can take it!") Parsons will learn. Harden, on the other hand? I'm less bullish. But one can hope.
