Well the Texans didn't like you thought, or they would have traded up.

They were going to take him in the 3rd instead of the slow TE who can't get open.

Zach Mettenberger might have been a good value pick at 178

belichik reached for a non-impact player of a non-need position.. garoppolo will get to wait 4 years before hes tossing picks in the NFL..

And that dictates that he is worth the pick?

I could be wrong, but I think Belichik knows more.

new englands next pick was 105 in the 4th round.. belichik pulled the trigger on the guy he wanted because he might not be there the next time they get to pick. it was a glaring reach..

No, bc I think Manziel is going to be a special player. Would have been incredible to come away with Clowney and JFF.

Hehehe..no, Belichik outsmarted himself thinking he's spoil the Texans plan by taking Gorappolo. BOB ****-blocked NE by taking the TE they were salivating over and by giving up their 5 rounder to pick Nix, it crushed any hopes NE had for trading Mallet to Texans. In other words, BOB owned Belichik plus he still got the QB he wanted.

6' 5 230lbs v 6' 205lbs, I'll take that any day . Manziel will flame out just like Vince young. I like this dude to be groomed slowly to become a productive player

He'll probably go the way of TJ Yates, but worth a chance that late in the draft.

Savage gives you something the Texans don't currently have, which is a QB with strong physical tools, which gives him higher potential.

You forgot one most important "stats" in your analysis.

The Houston Texans signed Fitzpatrick because of this FACT :

Josh McCown signs with Tampa Bay Buccaneers over Texans so the Texans has no other better choice.

Yes, a backup QB who is the second option to McCown will lead the Texans to glory.

    Amen.
