What makes Mark Jackson a 'homophobe?' Because he said that he'd 'Pray for Jason Collins & his family'??? Just because someone isn't waving the rainbow flag whilst singing 'It's raining men', doesn't make them a homophobe. NEWS FLASH: As a Christian Pastor he more than likely doesn't agree with Jason's gay lifestyle...but by basically saying: "I'll pray for you & hope God intervenes in your life in a positive way, for the betterment of your life & that God gives your family the strength to endure the scrutiny that is to come. " ...this makes him a homophobe? ...but in saying that, there are rumblings that Mark Jackson was fired because they couldn't have a Pastor coaching GSW when they move to The 'gay capital' of the USA in San Francisco. Political Correctness gone MaD!

It's going to suck if they sign SVG and we keep McHale. That kunene should be our coach! We might be competing against GS for years to come in the playoffs. I'm going to be madder than a mother trucker if we lose to GS because they got SVG and we didn't.
You're wasting your time trying to debate political correctness on Clutchfans my friend. This place is a wild juxtaposition of political correctness and internet rage. Also, I doubt that 'San Francisco' conjecture is even 1% true.
I know people don't want to admit it but be realistic - Dwight isn't interested in having SVG as his coach again. I know he doesn't hate him or anything, but still.
He think being gay is an abomination and a sin and those who are gay and act on those feelings will go to hell regardless of how good of a person they are. That is bigotted and factually incorrect. It isn't political correctness. Any time a bigot or a racist gets called out those who are cool with it hang onto political correctness. He doesn't agree with his lifestyle, that is being a BIGOT!
When you start going full outrage mode at even fairly nondescript honoring of ones faith, you eventually just get tuned out as a zealot. I'm an atheist and while i see misplaced do gooder in Jackson's comments, I see hate embedded in yours.
who cares if he thinks the gays are going to go to an imaginary place that doesn't exist? they are words. as long as the guy isn't extending it past words (actions), i don't see the big deal.
San Jose Mercury News For the TL;DR crowd: McHale might seem to be a complete buffoon in terms of Xs and Os but he's not even a third of the jackass Jackson appears to be.
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/report-warriors-contact-thibodeau-dantoni-152439757--nba.html Don't know how reputable "The Sports Xchange" is, but a few quotes from the article "The Golden State Warriors are planning to contact Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau and former Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni for their vacancy, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. ... D'Antoni, who resigned as Lakers coach after the regular season after the team refused to extend his contract, is on a list of names that also includes former NBA coaches Lionel Hollins, George Karl and Jerry Sloan, and current college coaches Fred Hoiberg and Kevin Ollie. ... The Warriors are also reportedly waiting for NBA assistants David Fizdale, Alvin Gentry and Nate McMillan to complete playoff runs." GSW definitely looking to upgrade. Meanwhile, the Rockets stand pat
If you hate the Warriors, you want them to hire McMillan out of this group. He's the perfect coach to mess them up. I think the notion of Chicago letting Thibs go is complete insanity. The Bulls know it would kill the credibility of their franchise.
I'm pretty sure thinking people who are gay will go to hell is factually correct since the concept of hell and sin is defined in the the bible. I don't agree with a lot of people's lifestyles. I don't smoke weed for example. He didn't say anything derogatory that took away from Jason Collins as a human being in this life. It's ok for people to have different opinions and outlooks on life.
Except, of course, for the fact that (a) the Bible is not proven fact and (b) if you do believe and understand the Bible, you know that (1) everyone is a sinner and (2) sinners aren't all doomed to hell.
