When it comes to Savage, he has a big arm and he has a big frame he passed for over 60% in BOB's system with limited talent around him, 29 on Wonderlic....decent pick for a project.
i got real good gut feeling about savage...he needs to work on his release a bit..make it a little quicker..its no telling how good he will be
Right off the bat you know he's gonna turn out better than some chump named "Blake Bortles". What a loser name. QB is the only position where your name matters! Ain't that right Joe-y Harrington?

Not expecting to see him on the field unless we're out of it in December. Assuming he gets a year to show if he can handle the job in 2015. Ends the Mallet speculation. Yates and Keenum get to battle to stay on the roster, both have to hope Savage doesn't demonstrate that he can be ready as a back up or they may both be out. I think one of them will stick around - have to have vet insurance against a Fitzpatrick injury or flare up of his INT condition. Onward to sift for keepers in the 6th.
some other stuff on Savage -- “Tom Savage does not have the illustrious career that a lot of these other quarterback prospects have but he’s got the arm strength, the release which grades out as an ‘A,’ (and) the mental makeup,” ESPN’s Todd McShay said via ESPN.com. “I think if he gets with the right coordinator and right quarterback coach at the next level, I think he’s got a chance to be a really good starter. I think that’s why Savage has really risen more than any other quarterback late in this process. I think when it’s all said and done, he’s a top 40 pick in May’s draft.” At 6-foot-4 and 228 pounds, Savage certainly has the build of a Bill O’Brien prototypical quarterback. In his 2013 season, Savage completed 61 percent of passes (238 of 389) for 2,958 yards, 21 touchdowns and nine interceptions despite being sacked an FBS-high 43 times. In fact, O’Brien made the trip to Savage’s March 3 Pro Day and met with him afterwards.
I think Yates is out and Keenum and Fitz fight for the starting spot. Savage will be around in a year or two
I'd agree that's the expected scenario. I do wonder if O'Brian's love for size could come into play with a 6-4 Yates and (maybe) 6-1 Keenum. And I say that as a guy that feels Keenum could vastly improve with a coaching staff invested in developing him over an offseason. Or he could chuck them both and get Mallet for one year since that's "his" guy

The draft guys always make every player out to be a pro bowler, but they really seemed to love this pick. He's got size, intelligence, toughness, and a big arm, that's an awful big foundation to work with from such a low risk pick.
Has a great arm and release, good size, throws a pretty good deep ball, and seems like a hard worker, but man his tape is bad. Stares down receivers, throws into double coverage, doesn't see safeties, gets rattled pretty badly by pressure. Hope it works out but he's the fourth best QB on the roster right now.
