I don't understand the hate for Keenum. 1.BOB will employ more spread offense 2.The O-Line is bolstered and hopefully minus Newton 3.Arian Foster is getting healthy (and making babies) 4.A stronger defense will put the Texans in more favorable field position 5.The play book will be less predictable 6.Another weapon in CJ Fiedorowicz All this makes Keenum a better QB. He played pretty damn well for a 2nd year player getting the first starts of his career on a team where 50% of the players quit mid season. Stick with Case.
Saw a lot of good stuff from Keenum last year despite the record. My money's on Fitz to win the job though.
He's only 1 inch taller than Keenum and 5 years older than Keenum. I'm not sure Fitz wins. Maybe with experience and age he might, but I think Keenum wins because of his fountain of youth?
People forget how good Case was before Kubiak ruined his season. <iframe width="640" height="390" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/eMhdXZAi6cI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Damn. Nice memories. Keenum can definitely throw. I believe in Keenum. He's from Houston. He has fire. He has desire. He wants to win. It's good enough for me. And the city loves him.
He's not the prototype QB that BOB likes so he has one strike against him. He is going to have to prove a lot in camp to get the nod over Fitz.
I thought all of our QB's looked horrible last year, and it was mainly due to a terrible offensive line. I don't know who the starter will be. Maybe BOB will take a liking to TJ Yates and make him the starter. However, if it is true that the Texans have interest in Mallett, then I think it means that the Texans aren't very high on any of our QB's. I just want an improved offensive line this year more than anything.
I feel like we win no matter the result if we start Keenum. If he doesn't have a good season, he gets us a high pick in the next draft where we can draft a good QB. If he has a great season, he might be able to make a "case" for being the answer at the position. And Keenum is always making magic happen on the field so it'll be fun to watch. Fitzgerald or a low-round draft pick won't be what we're looking for at QB, so we might as well play Keenum and see what happens.
I'd be surprised at an open competition pleasently so . . .but surprised nonetheless In this Org. . .we designate a guy . . and no matter what he is the guy Rocket River
Kubiaks offense was so predictable last year that Peyton Manning would have probably struggled in it.
Huge thumbs up for Keenum, and glad this coaching staff can see beyond the hype of others. This guy IS the absolute most coachable, most adaptable QB available.
Some odd reason . . . no matter the QB . . . Johnson will probably have a career year in TDs Rocket River Kubiac and Dom did AJ a grave disservice in TD Production
