How so? Harden has better FG%, 3P% and FT%. Westbrook can get his shot off easier because of better handles, I'd say, but that's it.

WB has outplayed Durant this postseason.

Here are their numbers(9 games played):

    KD:
    29.6ppg, 9.2rpg, 4.1apg, 1spt, 1.3bpg, 4TOpg, 44.4% FG%, 32.8% 3pt%, 55% TS%, 21.7 PER

    RW:
    26.6ppg, 9.1rpg, 7.8apg, 1.6spt, 0.4bpg, 5TOpg, 42.3% FG%, 27.5% 3pt%, 52% TS%, 23.9 PER

    Unfortunately, no one notices.

Surprised that Harden has better numbers. I guess the Portland series is still stuck in my mind.

You think if McHale tells Harden to go guard the best offensive player and still put up a triple double? Like how WB did in game 2?

ZERO chance of that happening. ZERO chance.

WB can put up 27-28, 8, 8 if he had his own team. Easy. This dude is a beast.

My only knock on him is he must learn to play more in control, and his decision making at times.

WB is just the better player imo. If you look back in this thread I was singing a different tune, but It is painfully obvious that the heart and defense Westbrook brings really elevates him above Harden.

Harden's offense could have been overlooked in the Portland's series, if he had a huge impact on defense and other facets of the game. And that could have won the series (the little things people don't notice).

A lot of players and fans are so caught up in points and the "pretty" stats but in the playoffs, offense will struggle. The playoffs make the greatest players bring out their entire package.

i think if westbrook played on his own team he'd be just as good as a pre-injury derrick rose

He'd be better. Rose didn't have WB's all around game. But Rose plays with more control, something I do hope WB learns.

Hell, as you're seeing right now, he's better than pre-injury Rose and he's playing with Durant.

I find Westbrook supremely entertaining to watch. His energy is infectious and he makes plays that no one else can.

I hate watching Harden play. Feels like he's constantly working the system and he often plays to draw a foul. He also just seems disinterested sometimes.

That said, in terms of overall positive impact, they're probably similar. Westbrook peaks higher but valleys lower.

i was one of those who making fun of OKC about how they keep Westbrook instead of Harden, damn ...
after a serious knee injury, Westbrook evolved his game and become a better player,
after 2 years of strip clubbing, Harden become the worst perimeter defender in the league
    smh

Looks like Presti knows what he's doing. It's no surprise since he picked all of them after extensive scouting. TBH I think most of the higher picks he made have star potential especially if given more opportunity on other teams. I'm intrigued by Reggie since a couple years ago, and think PJIII and Adams are underrated with loads of potential as well.

One thing OKC is doing right: They set detailed development plan and take it one step at a time with patience for TO's from young players. OKC's drafting and developing, Sun's medical expertise are first rate in the business.

Other teams are catching up, and from early indications I think Hinkie would surprise a lot of people in a few years.

Westbrook is becoming my favourite player in the NBA to watch. The guy has unreal talent, he seems to be an improved shooter and even after 3 surgeries on his knees he is probably the best leaper in the NBA.

If we had WB, we'd win the blazers easy.
Harden has regressed and at this point WB is a lot better.

    Offense: WB <= Harden
    Defense: WB > Harden

    WB wins

Um yeah ok, whatever guys. Let's see how good WB is on his own after KD leaves OKC.

This is really the only way to judge. Westbrook is playing with a guy who's gonna be one of the greatest to ever play. We know Harden can actually carry a team, but we don't know if Westbrook can. I imagine we'll know soon enough once him or Durant leave OKC.

What exactly is Harden carrying? He played with the Best Center in the league who dominated the 1st rd and still got eliminated.

Well...before Howard, many had the Rockets finishing as one of the 5 or so worst teams in the league prior to the Harden trade, then the Rockets ended up making the playoffs. Part of that is because Asik proved to be way better than people thought, but still.

That's what I meant, at least.

how about many had underestimated the team? people make mistake and wrong prediction all the times, just because they thought Rockets was one of the worst team in the team without Harden, doesn't mean it's true
