I don't mind fitz starting the season anymore. He's the type of QB that can fool the league in a new system for one season before falling apart.

 

I'd rather wait and see if Logan is sitting there in the 6th or 7th round or just see who goes undrafted. They need to concentrate on defense since they drafted Clowney. Big chance there's no Russell Wilson in that group.

 

ESPN just said rumor is that they won't be going after Mallett.

 

Yeah they've flat out denied it. It's not happening.

Yeah Thomas is another one I would put in that group. Either Murray or Savage in the 5th or Boyd or Thomas in the 6th.

Unless the mallett rumors or true or O'Brien really thinks all these guys are trash.

 

Surprise surprise a Kubiak team drafts a mid round tight end....and from Colorado State.

 

That would be no different from the good ole boy Kubiak train. If O'brian is true to his word that the best player at every position will play, then Case MIGHT have a chance. Fitz is admittedly better in comparison to last year. Here is to hoping Case improved on his hot reads over the off season.

We're, what, 35-36 picks away? Maybe there will be a QB run in round 4, but for sure one of the guys above will be available when we pick next. And the best part, from BoB's standpoint, is that there will be no expectation for whichever QB we end up picking. It will be a groom-and-stash type QB, New England style. If they pan out like Nick Foles they might have a place leading our team eventually. If they don't, you can always keep him hidden on the bench like a Mallett or a Flynn, and somehow those QB's build up value that way too.

Lol that was achieved when Romeo Crennel was hired and Wade Phillips was fired.

 

How many hours on this forum were spent discussing QB's? Still haven't picked one. Sort of ironic.
